Whoopi Goldberg Diversity Ribbon

Awarded for the successful portrayal of a non-human character aboard a simulation.

In the interest of diversity, this award is granted to individuals who have done an exemplary job writing and developing their non-human characters. Playing ruthless Romulans, killer Klingons, freeloading Ferengi, clever Cardassians, benevolent Bajorans, vigilant Vulcans, aspiring Andorians and any others, while doing so in an excellent fashion, is worthy of recognition.

Commander Andreus Kohl
22 Apr 2015 @ 11:24pm
For playing an Argelian with such care and depth that you almost get addicted. It is a testimony to Brendan's abilities as a writer that he can write a non-human character both in a believable way, but also a way where you can identify with aspects of the character. The personal journey of Kohl is one I have followed closely over the time he has been on the sim, and I enjoy every line of it.

Lieutenant Aria Rice
10 Sep 2014 @ 2:41pm
For her NPC Corealina Vipsania: it has been really wonderful to see this unique species on the Galileo, she's well thought out with a depth of culture and difference in behaviour in this original species that makes her a fully three dimensional character from the get go. This coupled with being written so well, and with the added dynamic of having a half human/half Cardassian child in her guardianship makes her truly unique.

Ensign S'Ranna T'Srrr'Kharh
10 Aug 2013 @ 7:25pm
In the short time she has been aboard, she has managed to showcase the vastly different culture and species she is. Every paragraph is carefully crafted to portray her culture and species in how she speaks and acts. It has been artfully done, so that it is simply a part of how her character is, and so very natural.
Ensign Im'er Mor'an
07 Jun 2013 @ 6:48pm
Im'er has an other worldly quality to her that never drops or fades. The pattern of her speech, her wording, the way she reacts and interacts are continuously faithful to a distinctly non-human race, and it's never lacking or forgotten for even a moment. I think it makes for a very successful depiction of a non-human character.
Rear Admiral Lirha Saalm
07 Jun 2013 @ 6:48pm
I have never seen an Orion depicted so well and so in depth and ~real~ as Lirha. She has the sensuality and appeal of an Orion, but she also has the emotions and feelings of a real, deep person, and is also strong and steely when needed. It's also great to see an Orion in a command position, showing that an Orion female can still be sensual, but also intelligent and driven and strong. I think it's not only the best, but also the most positive depiction of an Orion I have read.

10 Nov 2012 @ 3:13pm
Awarded for successful and very fun portrayal of a Vulcan character.

10 Nov 2012 @ 2:43pm

Chief Petty Officer Lucalin Mrina Ph.D.
05 Jul 2012 @ 11:26am
I really like the species he has created and want to see where else he goes with it and the problems involved with such a metabolism.
