| General Overview | S’arna has a few different sides to her personality. To strangers or even mere colleagues, she can be seen as cold and arrogant. However, her closest friends see another side of her. They see a kind heart and a sense of humor. S’arna has made the Tal Shi’ar her life’s work. She is dedicated and patriotic, and doesn’t lack imagination. She has no issue doing what is needed to safeguard the Empire. In the line of duty, she can be whoever she needs to be for the given situation. Her driving force is her love of competition and tireless attention to detail and duty. S’arna is a sharp judge of character, and shrewd; willing to extend a hand of friendship but unforgiving to any friend who rewards her trust with betrayal. |

| Personal History | S’anara Valdron was born on the galactic year 2358 to Volus and Ayra Valdron, the former an operatives of the Tal Shiar and the latter a Magistrate of the local government. Both were highly respected in Arezzo and throughout Valkarja. S’anara's upbringing was traditional for Romulans of her family’s class and social status. An only child, she was groomed from an early age to follow the examples of her parents. Education was a pillar of Romulan culture and society, and tests like that d’Sora were taken seriously. A poor score on the d’Sora and the child’s reputation and future would forever be tarnished. Rumor has it, those who fail the d’Sora were subsequently killed by the Romulan Government. Those early lessons in honor, respect, service and sacrifice were gilled into S’anara. At the age of eight, S’anara passed the d’Sora with ease, however she still recalled the terrifying look on the face of a boy who wasn’t as successful. After her celebrations were over and she was welcomed to the community as a child worthy of the Empire, she knew the real challenges were still ahead. S’anara applied herself to her studies as was required of her; lessons in history, literature and law. One area she particularly enjoyed was the martial arts training. At the age of twelve, she entered the Romulan training programs which include cultural indoctrination and physical training. Above all things, S’anara excelled in mathematics and sciences. Her training would continue for another five years. |

| Starfleet History | When her training completed in 2374, the Romulan Empire had just entered the Dominion War. Because of this; S’anara was quickly assigned to the IRW Valaris as a weapon controller. The IRW Valaris fought numerous engagements in the early part of the war along the Cardassian border. It was during the war that S’anara proved her ability to think on her feet and managed to haul the warbird out of trouble on more than one occasion; thanks to her quick tactical thinking causing the command staff to hold her in high esteem. By the end of the war, she went from Uhlan to the rank of Centurion on the Valaris. When an opportunity to join the Tal Shi’ar presented itself to her, she immediately accepted. In late 2378; S’anara completed her training with the Tal Shi’ar; the program was extensive, rigorous and diverse in scope. Convinced that she would need multiple forms of intelligence gathering skill, she also studied signals and computer intelligence. Fascinated by the nature of the work and finding she had a high aptitude for it, she had high scores in her studies, though not high enough to compete for the top ten percent. Her first assignment as a member of the Tal Shi’ar was to the Romulan Embassy on Velar Prime of the Velora Aggregate. Her assignment was to identify the leading political figure who was a proponent for expanding the Aggregate’s trading relationship with the Federation. 2 months later Chancellor Vellis M’tokaa, leading advocate of a free trade agreement with the United Federation of Planets died of natural causes and trade discussion ceased. Early 2379 several high ranking agents of the Tal Shi’ar were assassinated, S’anara was assigned to a team to discover who was responsible, however soon afterwards it was discovered the assassinations were part of Shinzon of Remus’s coup d’état. Following Shinzon’s death the empire fell into disarray. Between 2380-2385 S’anara was assigned to active duty on various warbirds on behalf of the Tal Shi’ar. Her longest assignment was the IRW Hr'Trran a Valdore type vessel spending almost 2 years on the vessel. Its mission was to patrol the border between the Klingon Empire and the Star Empire. Neutral zone or not the skirmishes where a frequent occurrence and S’anara’s hated for Klingons only grew. In 2386, the Tal Shi’ar suspected there was a defector on the IRW Katreen. The Katreen was sent to one of the Empire’s frontier systems in order to help the local inhabitants combat a deadly virus that had been introduced into their population. While they were making progress on that front, S’anara discovered the defector was the Science officer of the vessel. There was freak catastrophe allowed the virus to break free on the ship, killing a third of the crew including the defector. A cure for the disease was quickly developed following the accident. In one of the most catastrophic events since the destruction of the Klingon moon Praxis, the suddenly unstable star known as Hobus went supernova. The resulting shockwave rippled throughout the core worlds of the Romulan Star Empire until it struck and obliterated the planets Romulus and Remus. At the time of the incident, S’anara was on Drovna III and thus avoided the disastrous event completely. News of it soon made its way to her and like all Romulans, she stopped what she was doing to take in what had happened. While she did know that the planet itself was in the process of being evacuated in fear of the effects of Hobus, nobody had expected it to happen so soon. To make matters much worse she got word her entire family, her clan was wiped out with the homeworld. Her family was gone, the Empire which she dedicated her life and loyalty to was crippled and in disarray, S’anara for the first time in her life felt fear. She assisted with the evacuation of Drovna III and commandeered a tactical scout ship. S’anara managed to upgrade her vessel, dubbed Bellona, and proceeded to protect outlying worlds of the Empire from foreign aggressors including the Klingons. |
