| Personal History | Olenna was born to Moras and Kelmara,on the Capitol planet of the Romulan Mhiessan Colony. She and her sister, Olarra are twins. Their mother died shortly after their birth,and as a result they were raised by their father and a slew of nannies. Olenna's father was the second son of the reigning Lord of Mhiessan,and as such was in command of the colony's fleet ( Which is the second largest fleet in the Empire). That being said, Olenna was brought up in a very militaristic environment contributing in large to her strategic mind. Her uncle was unlucky,and never had any children. So upon his untimely death, rule of the Mhiessan Colony fell to Olenna's father,who was ill equipped to handle leadership in anything but a military environment. Olenna and her sister stayed dutifully by their father as he struggled with the tribulations of ruling the vast colony. Olenna,as the "eldest" of the twins, was selected to represent the family at the Hundred and subsequently on the Senate. During her time in politics, Olenna met Perdem. He was a young sentry for the Senate. The two began a romance that would lead to their marriage,and the couple's relocation to Olenna's family home of Mhiessan. She and Perdem were blessed with three children. Hercxe , Hiren,and Lenarra led happy childhoods in the one of the stately estate afforded to the House of Mirok. Olenna doted on them, and was deeply distraught when Hercxe was stricken with a mysterious sickness and passed away suddenly at age 9. Perdem was given command of the fleet by Olenna's father,and almost immediately went to battle for the Empire. Lord Moras joined his men aboard Perdem's flagship as they flew into a short lived war with a small faction of Klingons. The war was won, but both Moras and Perdem perished. Olenna tried not to dwell on this emotional blow,and found solice in caring for her two remaining children. She was hesitant when the throne of Mhiessan was thrust upon her,but conceded and accepted the reign. She did however decree that when her eldest child, Lenarra, came of age that rule would fall to her. Olenna ruled in relative peace for many years. She was once more stricken with loss, when Lenarra now a blossoming young woman of Twenty Three ( Earth years)took a man to marry. Their wedding was the most talked about event in all the Mhiessan Colonies. It was made into a festival that would last a full week,ending with the ceremony and feast. It was at this feast that Olenna planned to officially install Lenarra as the ruling Lady of Mhiessan. But he plan was struck down as both Lenarra and her intended were poisoned at the feast,leaving Olenna to mourn once more ( and earning her the nickname "The Black Lady of Mhiessan "). Upon his Twenty Fiffth Name Day, Olenna decreed that her only surviving child, Hiren,would be installed as Lord. The ascension went off without incident and Olenna, now Lady Regent to a young Lord,made a slow return to the political life she had once known. She soon found herself serving the Empire and her family as an Ambassador. The life of diplomacy was a quiet change for the Lady, and a welcome one. The history of the Grand House of Mirok began in the Second Dynasty, with the "calculated and clean disposal " of the sitting Viceroy of Mhiessan by Advisor Mirok. He ascended to the throne of the Mhiessan Colony, and declared himself Lord, securing it for the House of Mirok. Twenty years later Lady D'Darra of the House of Mirok, began to militarize her people. Establishing the Colony as a military force to be feared and admired throughout the Quadrant. When Dralath, of the House of Mirok, ascended to the throne of Mhiessan, he decided to try to intimidate the other galactic powers by launching an attack on Narendra II. Sending his flagship commanded by his Nephew S ' Task to head the force. Meanwhile, his nephew's wife, Dell'a was made a Senator and member of the Continuing Committee. Holding the newly created ancestral seat of the House of Mirok. |
