Mission Summary
Kreanus Colony's unique history has been reveal to the Galileo crew. An uncharted world within the Federation's Paulson Nebula territory, the rogue planet has become a sanctuary colony for various political and military factions throughout the quadrants. The colony is composed of numerous species who all hail from different worlds, yet they have united under a common banner that embodies the principles of freedom and agency.
Despite the colony's ideals and aspirations, the world is subject to extreme poverty. Kreanus' location within the nebula masks it from both long-range and short-range sensors. Its secretive presence denies it the opportunity for regular resupply which has forced most of its inhabitants to survive with limited food and water stores. The planet's infrastructure is still fledgling, and continued Klingon incursions into Kreanus territory threaten the colony's security and future well-being.
The USS Galileo survivors have spent two weeks within the colony while experiencing first-hand the difficulties of life within Kreanus. Now, they have been approached by both Romulan and Klingon colony administrators with a request for assistance. In order to put an end to the Klingon Empire's raids against the world, negotiations have been ordered and the Starfleet crew's diplomatic expertise has been requested. They are to depart Kreanus Colony under cloak, evade any Federation starships as they proceed to the Neutral Zone, and then infiltrate Klingon territory until they reach Qo'noS where they will negotiate with the High Council to cease their incursions into Federation space against Kreanus.
