Mission: Episode 04 - Exodus
Location: USS Galileo - Bridge, Various
Timeline: MD 03 - 0059 hrs

Previously, on Ambush (Part 3)...

As Allyndra moved off, Kohl called out to her: "Remember to take care of yourself too." Before she had gone, Kohl moved off to biobed four to make a triage priority assessment of the new patient.

Alexion Wylde was doing up a fresh jacket uniform as he moved further into the Sickbay, but he tugged the sleeves up to his elbows out of instinct more than anything else. "I'm staying here," he confirmed with a nod to Kohl, already on his way past though to get to the noise already building up in the bay.

And Now, the Continuation...

[ON]

Deck 6 - Cargo Bay 1 Triage

The press of people was bad and it got worse the closer Allyndra got to the Triage area in Cargo Bay 1. Several people streamed by in various states of injury and she caught a couple of people in the hall who had some burns but in her judgement not so bad as to warrant overloading the sickbay.

"Cargo Bay One," she said to the two. "We have facilities set up there."

The one woman looked at her puzzled. "That's Deck 6, we just got out of Deck 5 in the back and well, there isn't much there in parts.."

Allyndra only nodded and let the two go on. She wondered if the Triage area was still working. They had gotten it pretty well cleared.

"Computer activate EMH please"

With a short delay the holoemitters roared into life and the EMH appeared in his usually pristine uniform, ready for instructions.

"Please state the nature of the medical emergency."

"I need you to go to Cargo Bay One and tell me if the triage is still usable. It seems that the ship has taken a lot of damage from my understanding near the area. I can not see sending patients there if it is unusable."

"I'm a doctor not a tricorder! Just use the internal sensors!" The EMH replied incredulously. The computer program had no idea what exactly would be the benefit of using his more than complex program as a sensor, but nevertheless, he had his instructions.

Accessing his program controls, the EMH demateralised and reappeared in the cargo bay a few moments later.

The damage was extensive, and there was a layer of coolant gas that had managed to escape before Damage Control had managed to get the situation under control.

=^=EMH to Sickbay - Triage is damaged but functional - I suggest Engineering transfer some repair technicians to this area. =^=

Allyndra was about to say, with the damage that she did not always trust internal sensors and what if there was not one. Besides she knew that if the Triage was still good that the holoemitters were still working sufficiently. She needed the EMH there.

=^=Thank you Doctor=^= Allyndra said and ran toward the area. =^=Sickbay, this is Allyndra, as before send less severe cases to Cargo Bay One. Doctor Carlisle, if I may get your help, perhaps field work deck to deck we only have so much capacity between the Triage and the Sickbay.=^=

Allyndra continued her run. It actually felt good, other than a brief water dance it seemed ages to really stretch herself. She took deep breaths and could feel the muscles warm and her hearts pump.

She arrived at the Cargo Bay One Triage and waved her hands as the stink of the coolant hit her nose. "Again doctor, I needed a full assessment not internal sensors."

"Very well...I have to appreciate the fact that organics don't have the same degree of visual acuity as a hologram. There are coolant leaks in the adjacent Jeffries tubes, power fluctuations in the secondary EPS conduit, and the gravity net is slightly weakened in the back left corner of the cargo bay - it is only running at 0.95g"

The hologram looked across the damaged scene - it looked far worse than it was, but to an organic, it was probably just a mess of visual input for their far limited spectrum.

She pressed her comm =^=Engineering if you could spare some people we need to get some repair in the Triage area in Cargo Bay=^=

=^=Sickbay, this is Allyndra, Triage is again open and ready to receive=^=

It seemed as if she just got off sending the last communication when already people came rolling in. She only hoped the structure would hold or everything her would be for naught. We that thought in mind, she vowed to shuffle as many through and into less damaged parts of the ship as possible. This was going to become a real field hospital. Enough to stabilize and then ship on.

She turned to start getting the injured sorted and handled. As she went to work on a patient with a bad burn, it struck her that she wondered if she should not have gotten some of the 'scissors' made up and distributed.

The thought became action and with the replicators in the area she ordered up several hypos. The electron stimulation therapy would not help here as that required more equipment but just in case there was at least something that could be used.

To say that this was medical in its almost primitive state was a fair assessment and people in various states of injury came in. Allyndra barely seemed to have time to make sure one patient was given something, or another stabilized and if possible to be sent on and others to give a quick hypo to and push out the door.

It seemed after a time that as the main sickbay overloaded that more and more severely injured stayed in place and she did what she could to make sure they at least stayed alive.

Deck 3 - Armory/Corridors

On Deck 3, the main crew quarters area of the ship, all was not well. Waves of USS Venture survivors scrambled out into the corridor, unsure of what to do or where to go on the foreign Starfleet ship. Many of them had no duty station or idea of what to do, and were traumatized from their previous encounter with the Borg. The panic slowly turned to chaos as screaming and shouting ensured, accompanied by the ever-present explosions and rumblings as power surges ruptured a number of LCARS terminals in the corridor and turned it into a dark, smokey haze which was only illuminated by the red alert lighting.

"Get back to the room!" Amynta Markos' voice was sharp as she moved to the group of survivors in the corridor. She had decided to go out there when hearing all the noise. She had gotten herself both set of rifles, one slung over her shoulder, the other one in her hands. "Now! Last thing we need are a bunch of freaked out people running around. Now get inside before I make you go in!" she threatened and grabbed a man by his neck, pushing him to the rooms that the survivors had been locked in. Thankfully, set aside from the civilians on the Galileo. Last thing she had wanted was these traumatized idiots to freak out the children.

Inside the Armory, Amon Mormont took a moment to look at the current status of the ship. He glanced over at Stark, his eyes almost gentle before he smiled. "Let's go and secure the deck," he said, looking over at Siren. "See what you can find on the Borg. Anything need from recent encounters...as long as the computer works, we try and stay one step ahead...Stark, with me," he hit Gabriel's arm lightly, his eyes warm as he took the rifle. Adrenaline. It was an old friend and had sunk into his very soul.

"I hear you," Gabriel assured, grabbing two rifles for himself, one of each kind, striding out of the room at Amon's side. "Got your ridiculously strapping back," he murmured with a grin.

Siren settled at the desk they had, opening the computer up and using her clearance to start rifling through the databanks and news feeds, anything she could get her hands on relating to what the hell they had on the Borg these days.

Amon moved forward, frowning as he looked around. The Venture crew had been scared enough by Markos to start retreating into their rooms, but the way the ship was moving made it clear to Amon that something wasn't right. "Come on," he touched Gabriel's shoulder, grinning.

Gabriel nodded to him, his hand wrapped tight with the grip on a rifle, but the barrel was rested up against his shoulder as they moved down to the end of the corridor to make sure it was all clear. "Quiet before the storm?"

"Quiet before something..." Amon whispered and nodded, frowning as he walked. "I think this will just get worse. So...be prepared."
