Personality & Traits

General Overview Victoria is a very quiet person who is always very calm and collected, never raising her voice, even when she's angry. She keeps to herself and doesn't like to let anyone into her personal life. She has a passion for learning and working that keeps her busy and leaves little time for socializing.
Strengths Extraordinary calm. This is a trait that she has perfected over the years and she has become very good at remaining very calm, even in the most dire emergencies.

Very adaptable. She can acclimate to almost any situation with ease. She has no problems with change.

Focused. Once she gets started on something, she doesn't stop until she's done, especially if it's work-related.
Weaknesses Focused. Again, she has laser-like focus but can sometimes take it too far and get too involved with any one project.

Trust issues. Although she has gotten over quite a bit, she still does not trust anyone easily. There are very few people she considers to be close friends.

Kind of morbid and pessimistic. She has a bit of a morbid streak, always able to see the worst in any situation
Ambitions Victoria is perfectly happy on a ship where she can explore and study the different species she comes across during their missions. She may go on to teach later in life, but she's not sure yet.
Hobbies & Interests Kind of a workaholic, she adores her job and spends most of her free time working.

Languages. Besides psychology, this is her greatest passion. She has a natural affinity for them and has tried to learn as many as she can in her time with Starfleet.

Music. She is a very accomplished musician, proficient in piano, violin, and voice.
Vernacular Victoria speaks in a low, subdued tone of voice with a slight British accent that gets stronger when she's angry or highly agitated. Her voice has a slightly rough quality to it, not quite hoarse, but not perfectly smooth, either. On rare occasions, when she's exhausted or profoundly upset, her voice will have a slight tremor.
Orientation Heterosexual
Language(s) Spoken Federation Standard, French, Spanish, Gaelic, Vulcan, Andorian, Tellarite, Trill

Personal History Victoria was born and raised in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 2362 by Seymour and Madeline Crawley. Seymour was the bartender and owner of a pub near their apartment and Madeline was a former counselor with Starfleet. Victoria had one sibling, her older brother, Peter, who was five years older than her.

Victoria was a somewhat quirky child, very quiet but friendly and talkative, and, unlike most of the other kids in her classes, she loved school and was very intelligent (she ended up skipping 2nd grade). Her favorite subject in particular was science, specifically space. She loved learning about the different species on other planets and even began to learn different alien languages. She was especially fascinated by the Vulcans and the Trill. Later on, in high school, she became obsessed with learning as much as possible about psychology, much like her mother. She went on to graduate as valedictorian at age 17, in 2379.

During her school years, up until fifth grade, Victoria’s life was relatively normal and uneventful. After school each day, because Peter’s school got out earlier than Victoria’s, he would meet her at her school and walk her home. On the way home, they would sometimes stop by the docks and watch the ships coming into port. After a while, they got to know the captains of many of the ships very well and would get special favors and treats from them. This became a ritual with them, one of the few things that she enjoyed more than school.

On October 1st, in 2372, when Victoria was ten years old and entering the fifth grade, Peter failed to appear at the school to pick her up. Worried, her parents came to pick her up and take her home, thinking that he must have gone over to a friend’s house but knowing that something was seriously wrong. After months of searching and frantically worrying, his body was found in the woods, by none other than Victoria. Afterwards, nothing was the same.

After discovering the body, she was severely psychologically traumatized. When she started having panic attacks and hallucinations, Madeline and Seymour, terrified by the change in their daughter, started taking Victoria to a psychiatrist, who had her institutionalized for two weeks, for observation and treatment of a PTSD-related psychotic episode. Four years later, when Victoria was just starting high school, her family moved from Maine to San Francisco, California, very close to the Academy.

After four more years of therapy, her therapist suggested that based on her interest in space and psychology, Victoria join the Academy. She entered the Academy and graduated with honors with concentrations in xenopsychology and xeno research, as a lt. jg.
