Varro smiled as he looked out the window at the cloudy sky. He loved the weather in London. He was happy to be home. Earlier that day he'd taken a look at the venue which was basically a hug ballroom. There were several tables laid out with emerald green and violet colours. Fancy white plates with gold cutlery. The room was filled with flowers and fancy faux peacock feather centrepieces. There were several buffet tables set with dishes from Vulcan, Earth, El Auria, Betazed, and Romulus.

The wedding would be small, His siblings...if they came, so far only Saul had responded, his son Ilan, Ilan's mother, Doctor Warraquim, Ensign Mimi, Lieutenant Sandoval, Evie, Galan, a few diplomatic friends and Blaze's family. It would be interesting and small, a total of 30 people. The ceremony would be heartfelt and simple.

He tore his gaze from the window and headed towards the bedroom area where he would change into his tuxedo. He'd chosen a black tux with a purple shirt and emerald tie to match the colour scheme.

===At the Venue===

Jonathan Hendricks checked his list again. The guests would arrive soon. He had all their names, images, and info memorised and even the seating charts but he wanted to check, make sure that his memory wasn't failing him. It wasn't every day that a Diplomat from Starfleet chose his hotel to marry in. The place was small, more like a four floor bed and breakfast but cosy and the Diplomat seemed to like it. It had that old 1800s vibe that he loved so much.

He looked up and noted the guests had began to arrive. He hurried to the door to greet them.

Marisa dressed in a modest tea-length emerald green dress. She was happy that Varro had found someone to love. As she was one of the first to arrive, she walked around the venue, then found a seat at the back.

Allyndra had made request and had a new Trellium silk dress sent out via fast courier. She would need it for home anyway. It was cut in the Akkadian style with tight strapless corset like top and full skirt trailing toward the back. One could always tell the real thing as the ambient light would scintillate in rainbow colours in each little movement. She wore her hair long and combed out with it being confined from her face with Hulibri crystal barrettes which also seemed to catch the light and have scintillating patterns. Finally she had dusted her wings with powdered crystal as well. It might be over the top and perhaps was but she had not been to many weddings and on world one tended to dress elegantly. She entered the place and stepped to the side awaiting to be told what to do next.

Jonathan smiled at the fairy like woman. He'd never seen someone like her. He was mesmerized by the woman. He got his voice back. "Well hello. I'm Jonathan the wedding planner and coordinator and owner of this hotel. Your name please?"

Allyndra was not sure what a planner and coordinator was about but she figured it was in the job description he sort of gave. She was also not sure how Varro had put her down. "Commander Allyndra illm Warraquim, Mother Named of House Warraquim," she replied.

Jonathan smiled, "Of course! Welcome. Please feel free to help yourself to some appetizers. You are at table three. The program will start soon. We're just waiting for a few more guests."

Not far behind Allyndra came Mimi, she wore a her go to outfit for these sort of occasions a long jade green dress and a ribbon wrapped around her tail. Stepping inside she looked around.

Jonathan excused himself after helping Allyndra find her seat. He then walked up to the intriguing young lady with the jade dress. "Hello, I'm Jonathan. Welcome. Friend of Varro or Blaze?" He asked pulling up his list ready to check the young lady off as arrived.

"A friend of Varro." Mimi replied. While she and the ambassadar had not chatted much it was him who invited her to the wedding so he must like her enough to be classed as a friend.

Jonathan smiled, "Excellent. Over there please."

"Thank you." Mimi said, walking in the direction Jonathan had indicated she saw Marisa sat on her own. "Hello Lieutenant."

Marisa smiled when she saw Mimi. "Hello. Nice to see you again. Please, join me."

Mimi smiled and sat down beside Marisa.

Eviess arrived as Mimi was getting settled. She saw Allyndra and headed her way. "Is this seat taken?"

"Not at all, please" Allyndra waved a hand. "How have you been, it has been a bit since I last saw you."

Eviess sighed, "It has not been easy." She looked around, "I almost didn't come."

Allyndra nodded. "I understand, though I am glad you did."

Evie smiled, "Me too. To be honest I'm glad I did too. Eelim tells me you are all going to Akkadia. How go the preparations?"

"Well we are combining it with a trip to Ryn. I traded a bit of a base for certain considerations. In the process trying to force the government to get off its collective fat backside and start considering the future."

Eviess gave the doctor's hand a pat. "It will all work out. You'll see. You are one of the strongest people I know."

"Thank you, it is not like I will not have help...." Allyndra left off as some other guests arrived and she raised a brow.

"A rather loud group," she commented to Eviess. "I am not familiar with the dress are they also aliens of a sort?"

A loud shout and boisterous laughter filled the room. The Ocleirigh clan had arrived. In a flurry of colourful kilts the group breezed into the room ignoring Jonathan who was struggling to get them under control.

"Now see here!" Jonathan started.

A rather large man with a long mustache slapped Jonathan on his shoulder. "I see all! Come on man. Get that stick out from where it don't belong. We be the Ocleirigh's"

Jonathan dusted off his shirt at the shoulder, "Yes, Blazes relatives. You can go sit with the Romulans." He pointed.

Blaze being half Romulan half Human, to him, was odd. The Romulan side was refined and quiet, the Humam Irish side loud and boisterous. He never got that.

Jonathan bypassed them and then moved to greet a rather large Vulcan who looked a bit like Varro only with pointy ears. "Saul?"

The Vulcan gave a nod.

"Right this way sir. The ambassador is in the preparation chamber with his son."

Seeing the very loud group of men enter the room Mimi turned to Marisa. "Why are those men wearing skirts?"

"Those are called kilts," Marisa explained. "They're traditional Scottish dress for males. Each clan has a different tartan specific to them. Women wear kilted skirts. They're longer than the male variety, which traditionally uses nine yards of fabric. Kilts are considered formal dress if you're Scottish."

"It seems unusual for a man to wear a skirt." Mimi remarked.

Hugh heard the exchange and smiled at the two women...one of who had a tail. "That's right but one small problem with that explanation my gal."

Marisa raised an eyebrow, curious at his comment. "And that is?" she asked.

He smiled roguishly. "We're Irish and those are proud Gaelic colours." He sat down. "Now if you be wanting the history of our clan, darlin' I be the one to tell ya."

"I'm afraid I don't know enough to distinguish the two," Marisa admitted. "So, which clan are you?"

"We're the Ocleirigh clan at least on our father's side. Our mother is from Romulus. The T'sen clan."

As far as Marisa knew, there were no Romulan clans. Not in the same way the Scots and Irish had, anyway. But she was not looking for a fight, so she smiled and nodded. "Thank you for the information."

Jayla Varro, Soral's twin sister walked in wearing a long flowing skirt. After a few moments she saw Saul emerging from a corner room and headed to join him. "In there?" She asked pointing.

Saul smiled and embraced his little sister. "Getting all ready." His gaze swept the room. "Where are the others?"

She shook her head. "Just us and Varro's friends." She turned too pegging Eviess. "I didn't think she'd come."

Saul's gaze followed his sister's. "She loves Varro but I think everyone knew that Varro would eventually marry Blaze. The two are well matched. Marcus was... a lapse in judgement."

Jayla shrugged. "Well I better go see him. " She clasped her brother on the back and headed through the room.

Saul noted one of Blaze's brothers talking to Mimi and Sandoval, a woman he had heard much about from Varro. He headed over. It didn't take him log to get there but he stepped up to Hugh and Sandoval and Mimi. "Ladies," he said and bowed slightly. "Is this man bothering you?"

Marisa smiled at Saul. "Not at the moment, but thank you for asking." She hoped he didn't start trouble, she didn't want that for Varro's wedding.

Hugh smiled and turned to Saul, "See." He gave Saul a friendly clasp on the shoulder. "You need to relax a little, Saul."

Saul shook his head but smiled. "I should go check on Varro we're going to be starting soon."

Marisa nodded to Saul. "Thank you."

Hugh took a look at the ladies, "I guess I best take my place too. It has been a pleasure meeting you."

"Igualmente," Marisa replied, unconsciously slipping into Spanish.
