Mission: Episode 13 - Rogue
Location: Kreanus Colony – Deck 4, Secondary Galley
Timeline: MD 04 - 0810 hrs

Previously, on All Hands (Part 1)...

Letting out a pent up breath, Aren stood and walked up to the podium. He looked around the room for a moment, taking in the assembled crew. "Thank you Commander Warraquim. I always disliked formal introductions such as these so I will try keep it short. I am Commander Aren Ban, former executive officer of the USS Tian en Men. I have been at this colony for over a month. I want to reassure you that my main objective is to get us all home back to the Federation as quickly as possible. I have spoken to Commander Warraquim at length and we are currently in talks with the commanders of this facility to secure our release. While I know this is going to be difficult to hear, but we would like if you all would all like you to cooperate, within reason, with the Kreanus." He held up his hand to forestall any questions or outbursts. "The general and his people are responsible for the destruction of your ship, as well as the deaths and the conditions that resulted. Do not think for a moment that we will not let that continue unchecked. However, not all those living at the colony are bad, many have just want to survive and be left alone. Many want and need our help so that they can survive and they too dislike the general and his methods, and are vocal about it." Aren looked around the room for a moment. "We need to up hold the Federation standards and its principles. We will return back to the Federation, we just need a little bit more time. I will open the meeting to questions."

And Now, the Conclusion...

[ON]

Miraj raised her hand. "Are we going to do what they want? After what they did to us, and to Galileo?"

Allyndra looked to Ban and gave a small nod. She and he had talked and while she knew that this meeting was going to be monitored they had made a bit of plan.

Aren looked to Allyndra and nodded, before returning his attention to the pink haired women. "For the general and those who follow him, no. I do not expect you to follow their commands. If they give you any orders please send them to me, Immediately. As for the Romulans, or any of the civilian staff, I ask that you cooperate to a level that you all feel you are, in good conscience, able to do. I know that all of you have been through a lot, and probably wish that you can harm those that harmed you." He looked around the room. "They will get whats coming to them,, but I want you to remember that we can not judge whole by the actions of a few. Take this time to learn about the systems that you are given access , you never -KNOW- when that information will become important." Aren said, making sure that he emphasized the know. "Does that answer your question...ensign?" Aren asked, hoping that he was able to give her an answer that she was looking for.

"I meant going to Kronos and try and talk the Klingons out of trying to kill the general." Miraj said. She could see there were plenty of people here who didn't deserve being blown up by angry Klingons. (The irony of that statement didn't escape her either) but there must be other things they could do to save them other than concede to demands extracted at torpedo point.

Martin was listening sitting with his young family, he listened quietly until there was a point he could no longer hold his tongue. "Commander Ban, as I said at the meeting I feel we are being lead into a trap. For starters we cross that invisible line in space we create a war. I agree sir that we should use our time here as best we can."

Allyndra could hear the open hostility and she could not fault them. She was most concerned about them sounding too rebellious. She wanted everyone to be discreet and who knew who was listening in. She added in quickly, "It may not even come down to that. This place is failing and sooner or later just trying to lure ships in is not going to work well. I suspect that either the Romulans may have to turn the general over or they will have to contact the Federation. It is only a matter of time." She smiled and made a small nod, "Just how fast those systems fail is an unknown at this point." If would not be so obvious, she would have winked.

Martin felt the way she left it with a comical slur. He felt there was more to the statement that the words implied and he laughed quietly to himself. "So ma'am your saying be careful where we put our feet?"

"Well I didn't think Commander Allyndra said anything wrong or false sir just...." Martin tapped the side of his Betazoid head then said "Besides all the family I need for now is right here! I don't think this colony is a nice place for a Betazoid wedding but there will be one, I expect soon." He said and put his arms around Stephanie and scratched Jamie's ear. "Well maybe after I ask Stephanie more privately that is."

Jamie did a happy bounce in his lap trying to hide her excitement. Stephanie just snuggled into his embrace with a smile as she sent *You already know my answer will be yes.*

*I do know that but here now even this place isn't the right place. I'll know the right place. I've known you answer since before we left earth. Glad I hadn't got the ring before we left earth because it would have been taken. Though it is nice to have the confirmation my dear.* Martin kissed Steph publicly for the first time.

"Congratulations," Allyndra said and then looked back to Ban and the rest of the crew. "Any further questions for the commander or myself?"

Rico smiled as the good news lifted the spirits of those in the room. He didn't have any questions, but his eyes returned to Miraj, she had an obvious ax to grind with the Klingons here. From what he had heard and seen she had every right to be angry he just hoped she didn't try anything that would send her to the clinic...or worse.

A female voice piped up. "Are you looking to add to your numbers?"

Martin turned at the unexpected voice. He was surprised by it as it had been similar to his mother's but it sounded happy. He hardly remembered his mother's voice eve being happy. He hope he would hear it when he told her about him and Steph. He approached the voice and said, "Hello how may I help you?"

"I've been here for a few months and I would like to be able to work with Starfleet again," Petra said to the man. She was deliberately vague, not specifying how she wanted to work with Starfleet, but at this point, anything was better than what she and her small group had.

"Well I suppose anyone that hasn't participated it the attack or continued the abuse should be welcome. So come and meet some new friends." Martin said.

Petra smiled and nodded.

Rico stepped forward as well. "Commander, like yourself I am not a member of the Galileo's crew; nor is my friend. We were on our way to our assignment when we were taken and brought her before the Galileo was attacked. But if there is anything we can do, we will."

Marisa, seated next to Petra, nodded in agreement with Rico's words.

Somewhat a late comer to this meeting - in truth, Jaehyun had not known if her presence would be considered welcome, though Aren had encouraged her - she joined the others. "There are several others I know of who would welcome a chance to help if it meant an opportunity to leave here."

Allyndra waited a moment and then said, "Anyone who wishes is welcome in my book. A single twig is easily broken, but bind them all together they are very strong."

Aren nodded in agreement. While he was a little surprised at how the crew was taking everything, he was glad that things were well in hand. When the women spoke up about other wanting the opportunity to leave, Aren nodded in agreement to Allyndra's sentiment. "I concur with the commander. Please let them, or us know how to get in contact with them." Aren said, directing is comment to Marissa. He turned his attention to the senior chief and his new fiance. "Congratulations to you and yours, senior chief." A warm smile spreading across his face. He turned his attention back to the room, searching the crowd for moment. "If there are no further questions, then I will bring this meeting to a close." He said giving the crew one last for questions.

Marisa hadn't realized how tense she'd become until the woman told her that she and her friends were welcome. She smiled at Rico and Martin. "Hello. I'm Marisa Sandoval."

"And I'm Petra Varelli. We were on the Cartagena."

"Oh the Cartagena that was attacked a few months back. Well by the general it seems? Then yes your certainly welcome. We maybe specifically remembering he dead crew of the Galileo but I'm sure you lost friends too." Martin said with a smile. Though somber. It had been a good memorial and had finally given him a chance to say good bye to James.

Marisa nodded. "Yes. Only two shuttles survived," she said quietly. "There are four of us here now. I don't know what happened to the others."

"Two shuttles, if the Klingons were as rough on you company it is my guess the other eight didn't make it through inductions. There are many stories of interrogation among the Galileo crew do I expect the same for the Cartagena." Martin said quietly in response to Marisa. "You have friends here now so if you play your cards right Commander Ban will look after you too."

"I hope so," Marisa replied quietly. Since their arrival, she'd looked for the crew of the other shuttle, to no avail. She, too, suspected they were dead -- one of the reasons she chose to keep a low profile.

Petra shook her head. "We could definitely use friends."

Martin smiled and said "Keep a low profile and don't start any trouble. Bring anything you find out to us and we'll do what we can to get you out of here safely when it's time to leave."

"Will do," Marisa said. She'd done nothing but keep a low profile since their arrival and had no intention of changing that any time soon.

Petra nodded in agreement.

While the previous ships only had had shuttle or pods survive the attacks the might be another option. "Sir, myself and one other, as well as several civilians were taken off the transport Serenity. Most of my personal effects were returned and I have seen several medical containers with the transports markings. We were boarded, it's possible that ship was taken intact."

"Yeah the Farragut was boarded and let go with no loss of life or battered scars provided they handed Lt jg Fraiser and I over. Oh and senior chief will do, I didn't go to the academy, didn't get the marks for it so worked my way up the hard way." Martin said.

"We've seen nothing from the Cartagena. They stripped our shuttle shortly after we landed," Marisa said. "From what I gather, that's how they resupply this place."

"Yeah they cannibalise any ship they get to keep their vessels for grabbing supplies in working order." Martin said finally.

"Senior chief, please bring the meeting to a close, dismiss the crew and resume the plan of the day." Aren said, allowing the senior chief to dismiss the crew. Normally Aren wouldn't have been so formal and typically most crews weren't expected to, however for some reason a formal close seemed appropriate.

"Aye sir." Martin said "Ships company Ho." He waited for the official party to leave before he stood the crew at ease again and said, "You guys know your tasks, listen observe and stay healthy till we can get off this rock and the officers in charge will keep us safe. Company Ho, Dis-missed." He headed over to Stephanie kissed her deeply and said well I guess we're engaged then.

Amaranai had stayed in the back. Stayed quiet. She had just recently rejoined the crew and yet. She listened to Allyndra and the others as they discussed what was going to happen with the crew. Amaranai didn't like what was going on with the crew being sent to Kronos. But it had given her ideas for how she and Luke could get aboard whatever ship the Galileo crew would be on. As she thought about it, the concept that got them to Kraenus would be just as effective to get out of there, if they were able to get their shuttle attached to the ship as it left, allowing them to hitch a ride, essentially. Once out in open space, they should be able to contact Starfleet and let them know what was going on.

Allyndra stood and gave Ban a salute and then turned making the nod to the Chief. There was much that needed to be done and covered and much of it as covertly as possible. Still she had to smile as she saw the spark of hope and determination fire to life in everyone's eyes. They had purpose, a goal and a chance and she knew they would do their very best.

Making his way over to join Miraj as everyone began to file out his thoughts returned to his friend still in medical. He was worried about him, he just wasn't the same.

Marisa made her way to Aren to give him the contact information he would need for her and the others. Then she, too, filed out of the room.
