ON

I am to be graduating soon. As excited as I am for this event to occur, I shall miss being the only cadet on board. Though I am not ranked, there is something interesting about being the ship's "resident cadet," as those on board have called me before. I hope Del'an will be proud of the progress that I have made, both for myself and for my people.

Jacob has left a vase of flowers outside of my door and, and I am to be honest with myself, I have no idea what to think of it. I know things like this are done frequently on Earth, but I am not from that culture. I do not know how to respond other than to say thank you. That, though, for some reason, does not seem to be enough. I hope he does not take my uncertainty as anything other than exactly that.

I have met and spoken to Lt. Amril, our Vorta operations officer. Because he is Vorta everyone was wary of him. After speaking to him I do not see him as anything other than an operations officer. As they say on Earth, you should not judge a book by its cover.
