As always, Peers sets the bar for posting excellence with her accurate, and always precise and technobabble-filled posts. I could not have asked, or even played my self, a more perfect ACEO. She always seems to take the time to add the ever realistic Engineer Banter to her posts.

Lilou has had a great month of writing and has really improved her Trek science. Coming from a BSG background, it's amazing to see how quickly she was able to adapt and assimilate all the information required to successfully portray an acting chief engineer, and fill in for our injured CEO. And her work with Project Sienna has been very fun to read. Well done!

Awesomely creative stuff! Her shields, her idea for the psionic-to-normal music translator, and going along with ~*some people's~*~ insane weird treknobabble nonsense including things like the UT upgrades while actively contributing and making sense of basically everything thrown her way. and also flying 'camera drones' for reporters and her 'waverider shuttle' and generally writing a character that truly comes off as an engineer without copying and already established Trek characters that I find many CEO's can sometimes be prone to do. that is only in the like week that I've known her, I am sure there are dozens more :P And from what I understand her original background wasn't Trek, which just goes to show the standards of Nelle as a writer herself. ~Phoebe/Liyar
Crew's Choice Award Crew's Choice Award
Awarded 08 Feb 2013 @ 4:30pm

If there has been one person that has stood out for me this month it has been Ensign Peers, the little engineer that could. I find that her enthusiasm and honesty her posts permits a certain appreciation for writing that isn't common in modern works, forums or otherwise. I tip my hate to you Ensign!

Nelle's development of more NPCs than I can name off the top of my head right now is impressive. They are all unique and thoroughly explored in ways that to the untrained reader could pass them off as individual primary characters. Her idea for players to include the 'played by' tag in their signatures was also an excellent addition to the sim and to any readers out there who follow us. Good job!

DeForest Kelley Humour Award DeForest Kelley Humour Award
Awarded 04 Apr 2013 @ 5:03pm
Nominated by Commander Andreus Kohl
"Invasion by Gadgets" is by far the funniest post I've read in my entire simming career. Admittedly, humour is more subjective than most things, but what's especially impressive is that the humour isn't stapled onto the post. The humour comes from right from the characters, and what happens when you put Lilou Peers in the same room as Maenad Panne. It doesn't hurt the scene also has: "cylinders floating in the air all through the room, glowing oddly, as little machines shot pellets at them."

It's been an immense pleasure to read Peers/Zaren's subplot this month. From outstanding character development to gruesome surgical scenes, Nelle has shown a great amount of depth and detail in all of the characters involved. She has managed to bring them to life with excellent writing ability in order to make their story truly believable.

Awarded 13 Dec 2013 @ 11:52am
Nominated by Rear Admiral Lirha Saalm
This month, all I can say is...wow! Nelle has taken her writing to a whole new level by introducing the Zaren symbiont to her PC, and it's been amazing to read about. Her portrayal of the effects of joining are spot-on and so lifelike that I can almost feel myself what it would be like to have two consciousnesses struggling for identity within the same body. I'm overjoyed to have such a fun personal subplot aboard the ship, and I look forward to reading each new JP she puts out. Well done!

Nominated by Rear Admiral Lirha Saalm
Awarded for writing an excellent subplot during which Peers was assimilated then cut open and implanted against her will with the Zaren symbiont. This series of JPs was by far one of the best I have read in the past year, and was very accurately portrayed. Well done!
