Cyrus has just finished his training with Kiri. Feeling confident that he had started to break down the wall of self-doubt that was preventing her to see exactly what she needed to improve on. It would take a long time, and she would probably hate him near the end, but if she ever wanted to be something more than a regular officer. He stopped suddenly, realizing that he hadn't see Pola in a few days. It made sense though, with the lift off from planetside only being a couple days ago, every one had been busy trying to get everything back on track.

"I think it's time for me to do a little something." He smiled. He returned to his quarters and approached the replicator. "Computer, Roses...12, red. in a bouquet. " He waited only a couple of seconds before the flowers had appeared. He wrote a quick little I love you. message and Started for her quarters.

Taking several minutes to get to the next deck he noticed he was smiling ear to ear. Setting the flowers next to her room door he rang the chime and left in haste.

"She should like that."

Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Pola was surprised to hear her door chime having not expected anyone. Moving her fingers up and through her hair, she pushed it away from her face as she hit the controls for her door, ending up looking at empty space in the place where she'd expected a person to stand.

It took a few moments for her to gather her wits as she moved her hands to sit on her hips. Looking around, she still couldn't see anybody which surprised her more. She couldn't think of anyone on the ship who'd be so childish so as to call to someone's quarters and just run off, especially at this hour.

Realising how silly she'd look in her pj's in the entrance to her quarters, Pola moved to make her way back inside a flash of red caught her eyes before the flowers on the ground registered. Frown as her eyes were drawn to a card with her name printed on the front, she quickly scooped them into her arms before Maenad went past and threw a fit.

As she cradled her arms in the crook of her arm, Pola used her free hand to extract the card from within the envelope. As her eyes took in the written words, she felt tears in her eyes as she realised the roses were from Cyrus. She wasn't certain what had sparked the words which he wrote but either way, she felt the lock on her emotions break as she moved to pick up a PADD and sent a message she hoped he'd eventually receive. I love you too mo mhuireann

He smiled as he received the message, and as he lay his head on the mattress of his bed he sent back. Just because, wanted you to have a good day

Still cradling the roses in one arm and holding the PADD, Pola leaned against the arm of the couch as she read the response. Her eyes started to tear up more before she dashed them away with the back of her hand before seeing the time on the console. Without a doubt, it will be a good day now. Sweet dreams my love.

you have no idea, I'll see you later tonight ! He chuckled and decided he just might be able to get a little sleep this morning before his shift after all.

Smiling as she read his response, Pola let the PADD fall to the couch as she buried her nose amongst the petals of the roses, inhaling their sweet scent in a moment of indulgence before forcing herself to prepare for her shift.
