Mission: Episode 02 - Resupply
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 4, Various

[ON]

Jeremy released the tactical station back to Davis and turned to his two remaining security officers.

"Come with me," he said as he opened the access panel leading to the main corridors. He cleared the corridor before he moved out into it, keeping cover for Chandra and Kiwoski as they came out after him.

=^=Davis. Do you still have contact with the hostiles?=^=

=^=Negative. I'm sweeping Deck Five and only have one contact. Which I presume is Quinn?=^=

It was as Jeremy thought. The feint to Deck Five solved nothing for them. He began moving foward, moving cautiously, keeping cover as he moved around corners but - he tapped his commbadge.

=^=Davis, where are my security fields on Deck Four?=^=

Bridge

Davis scowled as he brought up the screens. The news wasn't good so he dug a little deeper, wanting to make sure he had as much information as he could have before he had to report back to Stone. =^=The fields have been deactivated. By order of Captain Saalm.=^=

Deck Four

Jeremy stopped for a moment, considering that. "And the other fields on the other decks?"

=^=Still active.=^=

Jeremy nodded. "As I thought," he muttered out loud. Continuing forward, he spoke to his officers, "We're headed for the shuttlebay."

"Yessir," Chara acknowledged briefly, not focused on anything but keeping step with her superior, rifle drawn and scanning for any potential targets in the meantime.

Bridge

From the Bridge, John had been listening in to the conversations between his security officers, and had picked up that apparently the Captain's access codes had been used to bypass the security fields.

"That's impossible!"

Leaping from his chair, the XO moved round to the Operations station, excusing the young crewman on duty and began frantically working through the last sequence of command codes that had been issued. The captain had apparently issued the order from somewhere on Deck 4, when the internal sensors clearly showed that she was still in her quarters on Deck 2.

=^=Holliday to security teams - the intruders somehow have access to the Captain's security codes - I'm suspending her command codes temporarily, but it's going to take a few minutes.=^=

Closing the comm channel, John began the rather lengthy sequence of accessing the main network of the Galileo's LCARS system in order to pull up the root menu and the relevant access codes, working through each of Saalm's one at a time by issuing an order to the computer that John had for some reason needed to take command of the ship. A report that he would swiftly delete from the system once this intruder was captured.

Lt. Rhodes thought about the seriousness of the use of the Captain's access code. Turning to his team, "You two remain here and watch the Jefferies tubes. Bree, You come with me. I think they are trying to leave the ship." Rhodes moved to the access ladder to Deck 4 at the rear of the ship.

Deck-5

Quinn, now sweating from his exertion tapped his commbadge. =^=Quinn to XO. Lieutenant Stone ordered me down to Deck-Five sir, then once I arrived, he had a hissy fit for following his direct order and has locked me in the Jefferies Tube System just above Deck-Five. I have about an inch in either direction and the conduits in here have been stripped clear, so a wrong move, and I'm fried. Will you please release this lock so I can move to a safe area help? We both know the no one on this ship knows the schematics better than I do, sir. Oh, and he called you an idiot for us setting up the trap.=^= Quinn really did not like this security chief. The kid couldn't keep his cool while under fire and only knew how to insult and belittle people with his screaming big mouth. Couldn't make up his mind over where he wanted crew positioned. Tells me he wants me down a level.. Last time I checked, Deck-Five is down from Deck-Four. Then has the audacity to lock me in here for following his order? That punk wants insubordination, he'll get it as soon as this crisis is over.

=^=Also, may someone remind the Junior Grade Lieutenant according to Starfleet Manual, Section Thirty-Five, Subsection Twenty-Two, Paragraph Eight, and I quote: It is unlawful and strictly against safety protocol to incapacitate a member of the crew during a hostile situation in a potential dangerous environment that could cause great bodily harm. To do so is grounds for immediate court martial and incarceration based upon the discretion of the Commanding Officer.=^=

"Goddammit!" Holliday exclaimed, slamming his hand down onto the console as he accessed the security systems and shut down the isolation fields that were keeping Mr. Quinn trapped in a particularly uncomfortable situation.

=^= Bridge to Quinn, the security fields are coming down now - carry on with your orders. I'll deal with the Lieutenant once this crisis is over. =^=

=^=Thank-you, Commander. Any intel where the target is moving towards? I may be able to ambush him.=^=

=^=Well, if they want to get off the Galileo their only remaining options are the hard dock walkways...or a shuttle. They're not beaming off that's for certain Quinn. =^=

As the fields unlocked, Quinn made for a junction in the tubes and turned right. He figured that feint to Deck-Five was just that, and it had worked. As he came to a sealed door above him, he input an Engineering Code into the juncture box two green lights activated and a small lever presented itself from the bulkhead. Quinn grabbed hold of the lever with his prosthetic arm and began pumping until the door was opened. The CoB then pulled himself up and onto a ladder system that went straight up. Once he was on the ladder he used his foot to tap a release lever on his side, and the door slide shut. There was a sign with an arrow pointing up and it was labeled: UP TO MAIN SHUTTLE BAY

Deck-4

"Shuttlebay's up ahead," Chara pointed to an access hatchway, looking to Stone for confirmation. "Most direct route is here," she explained promptly as possible.

=^=Rhodes. What's your twenty?=^=

Lt. Rhodes and crewman Christoph arrived on Deck 4 at the port rear ladder, The pressure door would not open. Rhodes looked back at Bree, "Everything is still locked down."

"Let me get at it, Sir." Bree said moving past him in the very tight confines. "I've had my way with doors before, and security lock downs." She gave him a wink and then turned to the access panel.

=^=Sir, Christoph and I are at the rear port side access door to the shuttlebay. We will be through in a moment.=^=

=^=Acknowledged. I believe the intruders have just entered the shuttlebay. Come around from port. I'm with Chandra and Kiwoski. We'll make entrance, your team come in for backup. Proceed carefully however.=^=

=^=Understood.=^=

"Chief Kiwoski, Crewman Chandra, we're going to make entry. You two wait on the sides of the door. I'll open them and lay down cover fire so you can make entry." Jeremy said as he pulled out the PADD and set up a door override. All he would need do is push the control on the PADD and the doors would open. The moment he had space, he'd lay down fire and allow the two officers to get in and get under cover, until they could cover for him.

=^=Stone to Bridge. We're at the shuttlebay and are about to make entry. Make sure Medical teams are on standby.=^=

"Greenhorn, mind if I use the rifle? I'm a better shot, and we're going to need it if we're breaching." It was simple, Cyrus's accuracy was in the high 90's when it came to rifles. He had phrased it like a request.

Chara arched an eyebrow at Kiwosk. Where was his rifle? But she handed hers over without a word, switching to the secondary type II in the holster at her side.

He smiled. "I know what you're thinking. I was off-duty, and I didn't go to the armory to get one, so you can stop the eyebrow now, thank you."

Chara hid a slight twitch of her lips and shake of her head by turning the corner and setting herself against the wall behind Stone.

Cyrus holstered his hand phaser and with practiced ease, he twirled the rifle into position, checking the charge, setting and adjusted to the stock. It felt good to have a rifle in his hands again. Adjusting the scope and calibrating the compression rifle to maximize efficiency he smiled grimly. "Ready when you are Lieutenant."

"Ready," Chara echoed from her position, setting her phaser to the maximum level before kill.

Jeremy nodded as he hit the control on the PADD and stuffed it into his pocket, bringing up the phaser pistol. As soon as he had room, he began firing as he stepped forward. He kept looking for movement, making sure to get sight recognition of any targets. He made sure to keep clear of both Kiwoski and Chandra as they moved to position.

Chara moved with Kiwosk then, forward and through while Stone provided cover for their initial entry.

"Got it," Bree said as the seal released on the door. She stepped aside as Lt. Rhodes opened the door manually and stepped into the shuttlebay with phaser first. They moved forward along the port side.

Cyrus aimed down the sight and swung in. With marine precision he moved quickly, finding cover beside a set of supply crates off to the left of the entrance. Setting himself into position, stock settled tightly into his shoulder he was prepared for the first act of aggression.

"Finally." said Quinn to himself as he made the long climb up the access ladder. The CoB released the hydraulic lever that unlocked the access hatch and peeked out across the Shuttle Bay. There we are. Quinn thought as he confirmed the location of the red colored manual switch he was looking for, then smiled as he noticed the location of the shuttles. Power or no power, it will still go off.

=^=Holliday to all teams - move into position and stand by. Good luck. =^=
