Quinn walked up next to Stone. "What the hell is going on, Lieutenant?"

Jeremy tapped his commbadge, ignoring the CoB. Later he might have a conversation how officers do not answer to enlisted. =^=Rhodes, we have a possible lead. Begin locking access points to the Jefferies tube. Break. Davis, Stone. We're following what we believe is their trail through the Jefferies tubes.=^=

=^=Understood Sir.=^= Rhodes motioned for his team to spread out along that corridor for all Jefferies access points.

=^=Computer, lock down Deck-Four, and all access points in and out. Authorization, Tango-Sierra-Six-Nine.=^= Quinn had about enough of this party. He was starting to get mad. "What about locking onto those two bastards and beaming them directly to the cargo bay and flood it with gas."

"Great idea, CoB," Stone said. "Maybe you know a way to get the sensors past, what we assume must be personal scattering fields and now thoron radiation to lock the transporters onto them? Because if it were that simple, I'd have them held in transporter stasis until we met them behind the security field of a brig cell. I've been doing this for a while and know my job. Now, maybe you can explain what you're doing here when you were ordered to the Bridge?"

"Me? I helped set them up with the XO and a few others. They walked right into it...but Cho...well that was an accident." responded Quinn.

Accident? Having a crew member kidnapped was an accident? "And my officer?" Jeremy asked, the cooling embers of anger flaring to life. "Was him getting shot an 'accident' as well? How many other 'accidents' are we going to have because you people thought to play amateur detectives? This is what happens when," idiots, "untrained people step into a job they don't fully understand!"

"You may out rank me Lieutenant, but I'd suggest you put your ego to the side and be careful whom you are disrespecting, because I have no problem telling you to go to hell, sir. I was following the XO's orders, so go bitch to him and call him an idiot." retorted Quinn.

"Mister Quinn, others may think you special, be sure to understand I do not and will not accept your insubordination. Whether you tell me to go to hell or not, you better be sure you'll be there long before I. Not another word, you were given your orders, follow them."

Bridge

"Understood," Davis said, still anxious to get off the Bridge and down to where the action was. Anxious to know how Smoak was faring. He turned to face Holliday. "Reports are they're on the tracks of the intruders, sir."

Settling down into the command chair, Holliday did his best to supress the urge to pick up a phaser and join the hunt. They had already done everything they could do to minimise the chance of their quarry escaping, but there were still so many unknowns. The fact that their enemy had managed to board the ship undetected and were now moving about with the ability to elude the Galileo's sensors.

"Excellent - Davis raise our shields, set the frequency to modulate randomly, do whatever you need to do but keep these guys on our ship."

At least if these so-called intruders were unable to leave Galileo, it would only be a matter of closing down the area in which they could be hiding, and only a matter of time until one of the ship's security teams got their eyes on the target.

=^=Bridge to Stone, give me some good news please. I want these people caught and I want them caught now. =^=

Jeremy ignored the Commander's last message, knowing that his comments would be unprofessional and insubordinate.

"Got'em!" Davis said, very pleased with himself. "Bridge to response teams," he said opening a channel. "I've got possible contact with the intruders, nine meters ahead of your position, Chief, heading to deck five."

Jeremy frowned, wondering how Davis could be so sure, but he was. He started forward, not waiting to see if the others can keep up. By the time he reached the access ladder to deck five, they were gone. He didn't bother with the rungs but slid down to the next deck. He crouched, scanning. "Davis?" he asked, keeping the commbadge channel open.

=^=Trying again, Boss, but it's not exactly an exact science trying to find them.=^=

"Rhodes, keep your team in movement, go one deck below us. Kiwoski, Quinn," he said, looking up as they came down. "I'm taking Chandra ahead. You two stay one deck above us in case they try to double back. Quinn, your teams are not to engage, but to observe and report to us. Until we figure out why the hell they took Cho and broke into the computer lab, we're flying blind as to what they want. Then, CoB, get back to the Bridge where you were ordered by Holliday."

Jeremy had just finished speaking when a phaser beam went wide hitting the bulkhead next to his head. He stepped in front of Quinn as he brought up his phaser pistol and shot back. "Chandra, Kiwoski...cover!" he shouted. He saw just the hint of a form down the corridor. He grabbed Quinn and threw him to the deck just as a phaser blast hit where their chests were just moments ago. He sat on the floor, using his own body to shield Quinn. From the sound of the phaser hits, they were on stun as well.

"Bastards using Cho as cover," Jeremy said, firing only when he saw movement. He knew how exposed he was at the moment, in the middle of the tube. "CoB, get down to the next deck, under cover." He said it without expecting an argument.

"You got it," answered Quinn.

"Aye!" Chara shouted, flipping the mechanism on her rifle into on-status and taking a defensive position. She fired several times, ducking up when the blasts from the others faded out. She wasn't sure she was hitting them, but they seemed to be held off. For now.

Cyrus was already in cover, and firing before Stone had finished his sentence. He noted that Stone was covering Quinn and that they were taking heavy fire. "Greenhorn, give me covering fire!"

"Yessir!" Chara moved a little to compensate for Cyrus's movement and continued laying down a barrage of phaser blasts.

He broke cover long enough to move forward in front of Stone and Quinn giving the two of them enough time to get to cover as he advanced, drawing their fire. Without looking at Stone he gritted his teeth. "We need you alive and conscious sir. " He growled before firing just above the two figures' heads in an attempt to scare them further down the hall.

He fired once more once more, his shot going slightly wide, striking the bulkhead next to ones face, causing sparks to flash in front of the shooter.

Jeremy took the moment to turn to Quinn, "Get your ass down to the next level and stay there until you're given a clear, that's a direct order!" he snarled before turning back to the firefight.

Quinn looked the junior Lieutenant with an unusual calm expression. Damn kids always freak out when the shooting starts. thought the CoB to himself as he walked down to an access hatch to the other level as...ordered. Quinn entered a command code into a console and lowered himself through into a crawl space. It would only take a moment to get to the lower level.

=^=Bridge, this is Quinn. Taking a shortcut to Deck-Five. Activate a complete lockdown of Deck-Five and cut all its power, except for access hatch Eleven-B and Stellar Cartography.=^=

"Understood, CoB," Davis said wondering what Quinn was up to.

"Dammit!" Stone yelled as he threw himself foward, tackling Kiwoski and rolling him to the deck. As he came up he fired down the hall, hitting one a glancing blow in the arm. He heard a scream, but more of surprise and saw the arm go limp.

He grabbed Kiwoski by the back of his collar and dragged him to the wall. "Don't ever do that again!" he shouted at the Chief while staring down the bulkhead. He heard steps running away followed by the unmistakeable sound of a person being dragged.

He saw the other one remaining behind. He had switched sides of the tube, so that he wouldn't have to lean out as much when he fired back at them. Jeremy ducked his head back as the blast tore down the tube. "Davis, can you get a lock on the them now? Beam them directly to security, deactivate their weapons!"

=^=Negative, I can barely track them with the method I'm using. But the other one's trying to get to deck six! I think Cho's with him. I'm directing Rhodes now!=^=

Cyrus felt the yank back, though his instincts were already guiding him towards the wall in the first place. He slammed into the wall, almost dropping his phaser in the process. " You're welcome for your life." Cyrus shot back. "We need you awake and available if you haven't noticed...you're not the expendable one anymore, we need you up and going. Can you imagine if you go down? Rhodes isn't on the scene, he can't direct Davis as well as you can...neither can I. " He pointed to himself with his spare hand. "So excuse me for doing my 'damned job' and keeping you safe sir . " He looked down the hall and gestured in Starfleet hand signals that he would lay down cover fire while Stone advanced.

"You're too young to die," Jeremy muttered simply as he nodded. As soon as Kiwoski started firing, Jeremy moved to the next bulkhead, putting less than five meters between him and the target. He began suppressive fire to allow the others to move up.

Chara rolled her eyes at them both, but continued providing cover as best as she could while they advanced.

The blonde intruder smiled at Stone before smacking the wall. The blast door between the junctions closed. Cursing Jeremy went forward and opened it from his side, only to see the next one closing. He sighed as he punched his commbadge. =^=Davis keep us updated as best you can. Quinn coast is clear, get to the Bridge.=^=

Deck Five

Quinn maneuvered his way to the access hatch over the main corridor of Deck-5, hoping he wasn't too late. Get to the Bridge? Get to the next level then now it's get to the Bridge. Damn kids, can't make up their mind. Quinn said to himself. =^=Lieutenant, I'm already on deck below, you as you ordered. Do you really want me to shimmy all the way up to the Bridge?=^=

Jeremy pulled out his PADD and brought up the program linking him to the tactical station, taking momentary control of it. He accessed the ships systems and dropped the blast doors, locked down the accessways on Deck Five and dropped every security field for thirty meters on every side of Quinn. He locked out the access codes using his own personal code. Apparently Mister Quinn was used to dealing with incompetence and not someone who was willing to go overkill to keep a rat in its cage. "No, Mr. Quinn, as you are incapable of following orders, why don't you just remain where you are." Jeremy released the tactical station back to Davis and turned to his two remaining security officers.

"Come with me," he said as he opened the access panel leading to the main corridors.
