Timeline: MD 01 2000

Previously, on A Case of Mistaken Identity (Part 1)...

"Well she dumped him and left to continue making profit. He thought they were different more involved, apparently she showed him just how the same she thought of him as everyone else when she marooned him with me. To me yeah I was disappointed and still want to get her back but his is fueled by hatred. I think he is wanting to kill her; I just want to slap her around for leaving me." Vetal said.

Miraj watched Baz disappear through the mess hall doors, Her mother had been lovers with that man? She had never imagined that her mother might have had any sort of life before the Boslic pirate had captured her father.

"Why did she maroon you?" Miraj asked. She doubted any pirate marooned another lightly. "Were you lovers too?"

And Now, the Conclusion...

[ON]

Vetal smiled "That is the third and fourth questions that means we should go head somewhere less public? To answer those questions in order she marooned us because she had found someone she really felt something for. The second question is simple yes I was a lover of hers too. If as you say it only lasted a few weeks, she might have come looking for us but missed us, because we were picked up a few weeks after she marooned."

"She found someone else? Who?" Miraj was too caught up in the story to catch the reference to somewhere less public.

"I don't know but it seems she found it serious because she got rid of her other lovers, so I guess it was serious." Vetal said.

Miraj's mind was in a whirl. Who could it have been. her father? would the timing work out? "What year was that?"

"Early 2369 I think. It was just over twenty years ago." Vetal said, he was enjoying talking the Miraj.

Her blue eyes went wide. The timings did fit. Her mother jilted two men for her father. Maybe more from the things the Vulcan was saying. "What was she like? as a person?" Miraj was intoxicated, she wanted to get every scrap of information. "Was she much of a pilot? Or a tactician? what was she like to serve under?"

"So long as you made her good money she was accommodating as I said. She was a bit fickle when you just covered expenses, or when she found a new interest but unless she saw it as serious she usually kept us around. She was excellent pilot and tactician and so long as it was making good money or loot bounties she was great to serve under." Vetal smile got bigger as he started to think mmmmmm this is going to be fun tonight.

Miraj was leaning over the table, rapt, "And if you weren't making good loot?"

"If you were breaking even," he pointed at Baz, "though that was because she thought the Fleet Pretty boy was serious, rather than not making enough loot for us. Though those that don't break even don't usually live long enough to regret it." Vetal said.

Federation pretty boy? That could only mean one thing. She had! Lianej Derani had stranded a lover to take on her father. It was like something out of a novel. The added comment that her mother had a fairly drastic answer to poor performance went over her head completely, lost in the romance. "Wow. Dad said she was a passionate woman, but I never knew she had chosen him over others."

Vetal smiled and said "My turn to ask questions. The first one is where is your room? Where we can discuss my reward?"

"I sleep in one of the dorms, I don't have a room," she had missed his previous allusions and was a little confused. "What reward?"

Vetal laughed, as he finally recognised Miraj had missed his connotation. "Three Questions and twice I asked if you wanted particular questions answered." He leaned in close and whispered "Sex, is the reward, young Miss."

She looked at him, flabbergasted. "First the General, then you. Is everyone on this rock sex mad?"

"I can't answer for everyone, but I did tell you there would be a reward, well for me answering your questions, you might consider it fair payment for answering the questions. Though you may also consider it you punishment for asking too many questions. I don't care how you take really. You are pretty and owe me!" Vetal said.

"But..." Miraj flustered. "I already told you I wasn't like my mother. " She looked around the mess hall to see if there was anyone she could take refuge with. No one obvious. If only Luke was here. Her heart sank. He wasn’t. He was gone. "There must be something else?"

"I never said you had to be." Vetal looked over at the sulking Baz then said, "There could be, I could invite my friend the pirate to join us and really make it fun?"

"That's not what I meant. I'm not going to sleep with you." She'd got this far without sleeping with anyone. She was damned if her first time was going to be with some skeezy washed up colonist old enough to be her father and then some.

Vetal's anger erupted and his body language screamed, but his voice stayed quiet and "You can either do it in a slightly more private place or unlike the General I'll rip your clothes off and do it here! I'm not like your fleet father. I take what I want, when I want it."

Miraj paled, and pulled back from where she was leaning over the table., she looked desperately around for anyone she knew she could shelter with. "You wouldn't! You can't!"

"I would, and who is going to stop me. So again I ask would you like to go somewhere more private, or do I do it here?" Vetal said not even raising his voice.

"No!" Miraj shot back. "Not here, not any where, not ever, you vulcan bastard!" She hissed and stood suddenly, pushing the stool back, but she had chosen a corner and she had to go past him to run.

Veral slapped Miraj hard. Then wrapped one hand around her throat, "Vulcan? Vulcan! Do I look like I subjugate my emotions?!" There was a there was a loud ripping as he ripped her top open.

Miraj didn't have long to realise her mistake then the man was crushing her throat, his grip three times stronger than any human. "No!" she wheezed, "No. I'm sorry. Let go!"

Torgeir needed to eat. The food options here were pitiable at best, but he needed what nourishment he could manage if he had any hope of fully recovering. He'd debated the fact after his first less than enjoyable experience with the colony's excuse for a dining hall, but in the end, necessity would win.

He arrived to the mess hall to find most of his crew finished and away save one, off to the side. He would not have even noticed her, save for the hair, and that only drew his attention to the situation surrounding her. Muttering under his breath, Terje waded through the crowd, earning a few knocks for his efforts, before coming to stand behind the offending party. "I believe," he growled, reaching out to grip the man - a Romulan, he supposed - by the shoulder and giving a sturdy yank backwards. "The lady told you no."

Vetal Guffawed and said, "This can go two ways, Human. You can crawl back to your home and butt out; she was given plenty of warnings where this was going. It's not my fault she got caught up in stories about mummy. The other option concludes with you slumped on the ground unconscious and I do what I want with her anyway."

He'd caught a glance at the young woman and gave in to the urge to let his emotions over-ride reason. His fist tightening even as the fool continued talking, Terje swung into him, knuckles connecting with the smug bastard's face.

"Is that the best you can do." Vetal squeezed tighter to Miraj and swung at Terje. There was a solid thump as the back of his fist smacked solidly into his jaw. It wasn't a knock out but solid.

"Drittsekk" Terje gasped, his head snapping back on impact, but he absorbed the blow even as he turned about, his elbow finding the creep's ribs, disregarding the pressure the move put on his leg. Thankfully the wound had been closed with a regenerator or he would have risked popping stitches on that one; especially as he twisted back to punch him in the face again.

Vetal laughed and changed his grip from Miraj's throat to her hair. "You punch like a paenhe (daughter)." He spotted the weakness in the humans stance and took it with a good punch to his thigh. Pulled Miraj over the table and placed the Nerve pinch on Terje.

Miraj screamed the moment she could draw breath, loud and high pitched, fuelled by the sharp pain of being yanked around by her hair. She had to scramble over the table to avoid the man ripping it out. But it put her level with his waist, and she lashed out, driving her heel into the man's crotch with everything she had.

"Mmmmmm yeah go on fight it mmmmmm your mother liked a good fight too." Vetal said his crotch burnt now with the pain she sent coursing through it so he slapped Miraj hard again. "Yeah fight me, you will just make it more fun."

Miraj was seeing stars, knocked sideways by the force of the blow, three times harder than any human man could have managed. Her body seemed numb and nothing would respond to her need to move and fight. She was helpless in front of the enraged Romulan.

But the mess hall wasn’t deserted. The screaming and fuss hadn't gone unnoticed. Before Vetal could turn back to the dazed girl before him, there was the scrape and scuffle of chairs all over the room being pushed back, and people standing ready for a fight.

Vetal cast some glances around and noticed the Kreanian's standing as the room started to pulse. He drew Baz's attention, let go of Miraj. He pulled her top, which came away in his hand and scarpered before anyone else got close enough to follow. He ran all the way the the shuttlebay where their appropriated vessel was stored. Vetal and Baz disappeared. For good! Maybe.
