Mission: Episode 07 - Sojourn
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 7: Callisto Bar
Timeline: MD -27 - 1700

ON:

Luke was sat in the bar drinking away, with the mission finally over and the ship tribble free he had finally managed to unwind and let his 'hair' down not that he really had much. "One more please bar keep," he requested reflecting back on the mission and actually just how terrifying it was though he wouldn't admit it to anyone.

"And I'll have rum, don't care what type," Siren motioned to the bar tender with her hand before he could turn away, moving up to take the spare seat next to Luke. She sighed as she let it take her weight, still tender and tired from her experience down in the mines. Or maybe it was heading straight back to work the next morning and the intel trails they were chasing through the Cardassian networks. "I don't know about you," she said casually to Luke as she got comfortable, "but I can't wait until we can pull in somewhere and I can drink without having to stop."

Not turning to see who it was sitting next to him he ran his index finger along the rim of his empty glass creating a quiet mellow tone. "They say all that drinking is bad for you," Luke said turning to face the woman. Surprise spread across his face. "Oh, it's finally good to see you up and about again"

"Hm?" Siren looked across to him, smiling with warmth at the words, but not entirely sure at which point he'd featured in the mine terrors anymore. "Yeah, I was working by the next morning. Too much to do on this ship to keep still for long," she winked. "Although, I have to be honest, I don't remember much after we fell. The thing is a bit of a blur," she admitted with a chuckle. "I'm thinking that might be good, right?"

"Yeah I wish I could forget it all but some are not so fortunate, so to speak." He watched as the barkeep placed both of their drinks on the bar top and walked away to serve another crewman "It's a shame you don't remember me coming to your rescue, I was very dashing charging at the enemy almost like a knight in shining armour saving a damsel in distress!" He laughed.

Siren tilted her head as she watched him, thinking back to what happened. Back past the fall, the rush of fighting and adrenaline and blood and energy whips. She suddenly hit his arm, laughing with disbelief. "Oh hell, you're right! I was cut up by that little bastard and you came charging in!"

Laughing Luke nodded, rejoicing her sudden memory gain. "Perhaps not my most smart idea in my career but yeah it worked. We're both still here and in good shape which by the way you look like you've recovered well."

"Yes, thanks," she flashed a warm smile. "I was bloody tired and out of it the next day, but well enough for work. I'm pleased you had a lapse in common sense and helped me out, I'm not sure they'd have been able to glue me back together otherwise!"

"Oh I am sure the Commodore would have managed to find a way for that very thing to happen, I heard she kicked up a storm in Sickbay just for you," he smiled remembering the calm for security over the comms.

"Yeah, I heard about that too," Siren shook her head with a soft laugh, leaning forward to him to lower her voice. "It's really weird, hearing about things that happened right over you while you were unconscious."

He nodded in agreement. "I've had my fair share of KO's and it just sucks," Luke didn't often use words like 'suck' but thats exactly how it was to him he hated being useless. "Its good you have someone to look after you like that, some of us are not quiet so fortunate."

"Aw...." Siren leant to him, rubbing his arm but with a small, playful smile. "Am I going to have to get Aria Rice to set you up with someone? Our very own setter-upper?"

Luke choked, did every girl on this ship speak to one another or was it just him? "Ha! If I told you Aria has already given me her cupid's touch would it come to a surprise to you?"

"Yes, because it sounds like it didn't work," Siren laughed softly, winking to him with warmth. "Unless I've misunderstood.....?"

He cocked his head. "It depends on which one you're referring to," Luke imagined she was speaking more about his attempt to progress with Scarlet especially since Corealina had come out of no where thanks again to Aria.

"Just going from what you said about not having anyone to look after you," Siren assured, shaking her head with a warm smile. "Still....no one to report to either," she teased. "Free to do as you please, when you please, how you please. I hear Marines quite like that kind of thing."

Chuckling his lips forced into a smile. "If that's the kind of thing you're into," he teased "Seriously sometimes I think its more trouble than its worth you're never really not on duty."

Siren held his eyes for a long moment, leaning to him with a small smile. "Bet you couldn't live without it though."

"No, I wouldn't change it for the world." He laughed. "Well maybe I could change the amount of office work there was but that's what Ensigns are for right?" He laughed.

Siren gave a wry smile at that, shaking her head. "That's what enlisted are for," she motioned to herself with a dramatic sigh. "Just chained to the computer, me," she gave a small but playful smile at that. "When we're not being chased by zombies, of course."

"Yes or being threatened to be assimilated by remote controlled borg's." His shoulder pulsing up and down as he let out a low growling chuckle. "I'm sure if you mentioned your slavery to a certain someone she would be more than happy have you do something more fun," Luke added finally.

"Oh I don't know, I think that a certain someone would rather enjoy the thought of me in slavery," Siren winked to him, but an innocent smile played across her lips.

He let out a laugh. "Ok maybe to much information for my poor and innocent mind remind me never to let you near my daughter," he raised his drink and sipped thoughtfully at it.

"Uh huh, that's what you like to think. You were a marine, there's no way you're as sweet and innocent as you like to pretend," she arched a knowing eyebrow to him, fixing him with a narrowed eyed but playful stare.

Looking offended he raised his hand to his heart to fake a faint. "Oh my, you insult my innocence!" He teased "I can see why the commodore like's you so." He smiled.

"I hope she does, or this marriage thing could go very wrong," Siren laughed softly, shaking her head before sipping her drink with an appreciative sigh. "You'll come, right? To the wedding."

Luke nodded enthusiastically, "Of course I wouldn't miss an Orion's wedding ever!" He teased with a wide grin. "Just aslong as there are plenty of single young maids in waiting," he added.

Siren leant close to him, as if confiding a secret. "Well, I've never been, but one thing I've heard? Pretty single young maids will be plentiful there...." she winked. "And hey, even if they're young and pretty, they have pheromones that can make you not care. Like alcohol without the hangover," she teased, smiling warmly as she lifted her glass to him in a toast. "To the games ahead...."
