Alexion was groggy as he woke and sat up slowly. But he also felt a hell of a lot better. He moaned gently, stretching. It felt strange...but good.

Amynta moaned as she was disturbed, reaching out to touch his arm, pulling him closer. She let out a soft breath as she woke up, her eyes dark. "Mm..."

Alexion chuckled at the reaction, letting himself be dragged back down against her. He pulled the cover higher, to keep her warm. "Humans are demanding in the morning."

She smiled weakly, looking at him before snuggling closer. "And you are nice and warm," she whispered, her head on his shoulder.

He let out a long breath, his arm wrapping strongly around her before she could protest. He took a breath against her hair before his fingers touched it. "You are just using me," he teased.

Amynta smiled at that, shaking her head weakly. "A bit, I suppose. You are very comfortable..." she lifted her head a bit, to watch his face. He was...very handsome. Even in the morning.

"Hm, it is a long time since anyone has said that," he chuckled, arching an eyebrow as he stroked her throat.

She smiled at that, taking a breath. "Been a long time since I have said it to anyone."

"Why?" he asked, searching her eyes with curiosity, smiling gently.

"Work. Life," she said and closed her eyes, taking a moment just to feel it before sighing. "Should get up now. I am glad you slept."

"What time is it?" Alexion asked with a groan, trying to find something to see it on.

She smiled as she reached out, to stop him. "Breakfast time. Don't worry, you have not slept too long."

"Longer than I meant to," he smiled all the same, stretching out with a groan as he let out a shaking breath, the cover falling to his waist. "Feels good though."

"You needed it," she said, looking over him before smiling, getting out of the bed and reaching for her dressing gown. "And you will have a proper meal here before you go out again."

"Hm," he chuckled, finding it a shame, as he watched her, that she wasn't on the menu, and that she was covering up with a gown. "I am starving, that is the expression, yes?

"Yes, it is..." she said and met his eyes, searching them. "What do you enjoy to eat, Alexion?"

"Spiced, hearty, warm," he admitted with a small smile. "We Vaeron's can eat for the galaxy...."

Amynta considered it for a moment before nodding. "I know what I can make," she finally said. "Have a shower. It'll be ready when you get out."

"Thanks," Alexion got up and stretched with a sigh, moving past her and slapping her backside before moving into the bathroom.

Amynta laughed, blushing as she moved to put her hair up. She didn't put on any makeup, just washed and moisturised before moving through. "Morning, Laeon," she said, moving to the small area she used as a kitchen. She replicated what she needed, her eyes gentle. Huevos rancheros would be quick and easy to do for breakfast. She got the knife and rather than using corn tortillas she replicated corn bread. The rest was simple. Vegtables. Chilli. Tomato passata. Eggs. She started frying, humming to herself as she tasted it, making sure it had a good kick. And then she cracked eight eggs in.

Laeon turned to kneel up on the sofa so he could watch with a warm smile. "You cook properly. Like real meals."

"One thing I was taught that I stick to," she said and smiled warmly, looking at him. "I usually try to have real things around. But I lost supplies during the attack."

Laeon nodded with understanding, his chin resting in his hand as he watched her with interest. "Will you teach me?"

"Sure," she said softly, smiling at that. "I'll teach you. It's easy. But you have to keep tasting and adjust. And use your instinct."

"I cannot sense vegetables," he said softly, his features still for a moment before finally giving a playful smile.

She laughed warmly, motioning him over. "Come over here and taste this...see if it is spicy enough for you two."

He hopped over, dipping for a taste before nodding with a soft moan. "Just perfect," he admitted.

Amynta nodded, taking a breath as she looked down. "Good," she said, pleased he liked it. She got the bowls, making sure that there were three eggs each for the boys, as well as plenty of vegetables and bread. Her own portion was smaller, but she was human after all.

Alexion moved out, looking a lot more energised than the flagging doctor he'd been before. "Something smells amazing," he said with a small, half smile, moving to kiss Laeon's hair before sitting with them.

Amynta smiled as she poured the iced tea for them, arching an eyebrow. "I expect clear bowls from both of you," she said firmly.

"You do not need to tell us that," Alexion chuckled, watching her with warmth in his cool blue eyes. "Thank you. For...'taking us in'."

She shook her head, sipping her drink. "No, I...I enjoy it," she finally said and met his eyes. "The company."

"Well, you are welcome with us whenever you wish," Alexion said firmly, meaning it, the hospitality meaning a lot.

She met his eyes with surprise before nodding. "I'll take you up on it," she promised before nudging him. "Eat. I hope it is what you were after."

"It is fantastic," he assured with a smile, taking a large mouthful and eating as if he hadn't eaten for a week. "I have a lot of surgery ahead. Your crewmates owe you," he half teased.

"I don't want you to do that again," she said, frowning as she shook her head. "You need to take breaks and eat. And sleep."

"I know, I know," Alexion held his hands up, sighing as he shook his head. "Honestly. I am not usually so...diverted."

"Hm..." Amynta arched an eyebrow, with dark eyes before smiling. "Yeah, yeah...whatever you say..." she said and nudged him.
