Dear Diary....Entry Two

151 words; about a 1 minute read

As we speak Commodore Halliwell of Starfleet waits for me to arrive. I decided she should wait, as I have waited. I'm sure she will be as cordial as regulation dictates, despite my tardiness.

She hopes that our combined resources will be able to locate her ship. How does one lose a ship. In the proud history of Mhiessan, never have we lost a ship, save for battle. The very notion is laughable and irresponsible.

Starfleet ships are so stark and inhospitable, much like their Officers.

The Commodore is suspiscious of me and the possibility of my role in the ship's disappearance. Although she would never say anything to betray this opinion, I can always tell.

She commands with a motherly touch, a fact I can respect given my background but she will come to know that my respect will not be overextended.
