Chief Engineer's Log, Stardate :: OH GODDAMNIT WOULD Y-

OU LITTLE RATS JUST SIT DOWN!

Don't look at me like that, Hojo, they're awful. I know you've made friends with them, but they're not doing anyone much good. And look, they're breeding while I'm not looking. The more we keep in my office, the less likely I'm going to be able to effectively do my job. We'll have to move these to the pattern buffers first.

Bless the Science Department for having such brilliant minds. I probably should have thought of the pattern buffers but I guess I was too busy thinking about- DON'T TOUCH THAT! Don't crawl all over that, get off there, you'll blow the whole ship up!

Look at me, I'm talking to tribbles.

Tribbles can't talk back to me.

I don't even know if tribbles can understand me. Can they understand me? Hojo, you think tribbles understand me?

... You do, don't you? Ugh. That makes this worse.

I don't want to have to corral them to the slaughter house. I don't like them, and yeah they're frustrating, but actually killing a bunch of them? That just sounds cruel, but it's the only thing I can think of to get the systems to work.

Maybe I could kill a small portion of them. That's how they keep the deer population down, right?

If there's too many tribbles, they could hurt themselves too, and that wouldn't do anyone any good, but I know there are people who don't want them dead. Just like I know half of Engineering wants them off the ship, and probably a good part of Security too. I should check up with Luke and see what's going on on Sec/Tac's end.

This is a very sticky situation.

I can't imagine how the command staff feels about all this.
