Personal log - 019 - Training Days

ON:

We are on our way to the Lyshan system. There is a Federation-Cardassian Mining operation on the third planet. They seem to be experiencing some unknown phenomenon.

With the possibility of dealing with angry groups, Senior Chief Wyatt has initiated some training exercises for the security personnel. Most of these training periods are on the holodeck to allow for a better simulation of a possible encounter.

As for me personally, I had spent time during the shore leave and worked with some professionals with some anger issues in my life. Commander Blake had been quite helpful on the voyage back to Earth, but I felt I needed to do something to make sure that any fear or anger from me did not cause and issue on the vessel.

The location was a type of commune, set aside from the busy modern life of the world. The site was situated in a serene valley with beautiful trees and rolling hills and a small stream that flowed down the middle. After 14 days there of cleansing my body and mind, spending time with counselors about my feelings, I thought coming back to the Galileo would be fine.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. Once the announcement was made for our mission I had a briefing with my security department. It only took a simple snide remark and I was upset again. I responded poorly by raising my voice. Obedience to a superior officer is expected. However, respect needs to be earned. I have a few more days until we arrive. I will definitely try to handle things better.
