We are in the process of repairing the ship, for she is in a grievously damaged state thanks to the fight with the Borg. Operations is working with Engineering to make repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible, though it is taking time.

The Borg left some of their drone on board with us, I assume to ensure that we behave ourselves. It is strange to walk down a corridor and find a Borg drone in your presence. We are safe, though, as along as we do not engage with the drones. Not that I would. My neurological manipulation is useless against them, though that is not surprising.

I am still trying to fit into the role of department head, and I fear that I am not doing as good a job as Amril would have liked. I am speaking to groups of people, giving reports at briefings and making decisions, none of which I have really done before. I think I will get it, eventually. By the time I do, Lt. Amril will probably have returned.
