Cadet Im'er's Personal Log, Stardate 65799.6

192 words; about a 1 minute read

This mission has opened my eyes to many things. One, I am different from the rest of the crew. Of course, I always knew this, but it has become very clear. Del'an has warned me about forgetting myself. I assured her I would never do such a thing.

During the surprise training session with Lt. Orexil I was more lost and fearful than I would have ever let on. This is another thing that sets me apart from the others. I am a cadet, and therefore still learning. However, I feel as though I should be more alert, more like John Holliday or Kestra Orexil. I will do my best to imitate their teachings.

I have still not completely acclimated myself into the crew, but they all seem to be decent. I will have to socialize more, get to know them. I have memorized the heat signatures of the senior and junior crew, but for most of them, that is all I know of them. You cannot truly know someone by knowing their signature -- the universe does not work that way. If it did, everything would be infinitely simpler.
