Personal Log 10 - Food

Aren looked up at the computer. “Computer, start log.” He said as he set something off the screen.

"The aquaponics system has been installed in the arboretum and all systems appear green. Depending on Lieutenants Sandoval's green thumb and with a little luck that will mean that we will have some fresh, non-replicated, food inside a month." Aren said, pausing for a moment to reach for something off screen. As it moved into focus it appeared as a coffee cup. He took a small sip before setting it back down off screen.

"I am planning one fresh meal for the crew every couple of weeks. Though much is dependent on the amount of produce and fish that can be harvest at one time without degrading the integrity of the system. One alternative I have though about is rotating duty shifts. But again, we will have to see what we can come up with. I am looking forward to seeing the final results and how robust the system is." Aren paused again, to take a sip of coffee and setting it down of screen. He reached for something else off screen, and looked at it for a moment, before refocusing on the camera.

"It looks like I have a few departmental meetings that I need to take care of later today." He said as he smiled into the camera. "That is enough for now. Computer, end log."
