Personal Log 2 - New Commander

Aren looked at the PADD in his hand. He looked exhausted, felt even worse. “Computer, start personal log.”

"It has been one mess of few weeks. Two weeks ago a large portion of a Federation crew was recovered from the USS Galileo. Many of them were is pretty rough shape, and some were in the process of conducting offenses that would be questionable even among the more liberal and patriotic members of Starfleet." He shook his head into the video screen.

"To top it all off, I was put in charge of the group, by our captors no less. At first things were a bit rocky. I didn't expect any of them to follow my orders or even listen to me. Their Captain and executive officer had been killed, not to mention the majority of the crew. The CMO was the highest ranking individual of the crew still alive. With a little luck the CMO deffer ed command to me which brings me to our current predicament. At the moment, I am about to assume command of a Klingon Ship, with a Federation Crew, and conducting a mission that might stop a war. While that may not sound to bad, the reason we are even doing this is the General who destroyed the Galileo is being hunted by low ranking members in the Klingon High Council, who have been making incursions into Federation Space to locate and kill this General. This will be technically be my first command and I actually haven't even officially been an executive officer yet. I am more than a bit troubled by this. Not only will the crew, which has been through so much, be under my command and my decisions will also affect them but we will also be helping the individual who killed many of Galileo crew. Granted by helping the General we will be helping those people of Kreanus. And to be honest, many of them are not all that bad, many are just outcast from there homes." Aren sighed.

"I just hope that I am doing the right thing. When we get back to Federation space, my fate will rest on that of a Tribunal I guess. I just hope that my action will reflect favorably. Attached to this log will be status updates as well as crew reports. Also, computer, please attach reference Ban-Alpha-Zero-Zero-One to the end of this log." He said, knowing that the reference he is attaching will contain all recordings, sensor logs, and data that may be useful at any inquest or tribunal.

"That should be about it. Computer, end Log."
