Why the Pu'aliuai

There was not the computer to do logs on the Klingon ship and Allyndra was not sure she wanted one of her log entries to be noted. She did figure out that the medical dictation would work.

"On Akkadia the Pu'aliuai the blood flowr, is both beautiful and strange. It is fairly common through out the islands of Akkadia. If you look at one the petals always seem to be only on one side. It is said that N'ialani was a beautiful woman of high rank within one of the Guild Houses. Easily to be selected as the next mother of the house. She fell in love with a lowly farmer
but it was not to be as her Guild Mother had other plans.

The farmer knew what fate beheld the two and so he took a blossom and for Ni'alani for her hair but before giving it to her, he tore it in two pieces. Ine half he said he would keep ever on his person. Even the nearby plants were saddened by the scene, and the very next day they began to bloom only half flowers in honor of the separated lovers. Too this day though the blood flower the Pu'aliuai still only grows with petals to one side in remembrance."
