Personal Log - 003 - Uncertainties and Posibilities

Many things have changed since I came aboard the Galileo. First off, she is a great ship and has a fantastic crew. Unfortunately, sometimes things change more than expected. Definately in this case.

I have made friendships; some surrounding my duties here and others I have come across. The experiences are sometimes startling and at other times drastic.

Leadership is a key point in starfleet. I have found it hard when the one I have looked up to and appreciated to fall to injury and the results are uncertain. Yet, because of that loss, I have been called to higher expectations and am now leading more than I thought I would for some time to come.

I am doing my best, but soon, very soon, my leadership and my skills will be tested in battle. The last thing I want is for lives to be lost because of my innability. Second guessing my ability in combat is not an option.

I am reviewing the files and reports on the security personnel and officers. I want to get to know their past and abilities. Knowing their abilities will be most key in the protection of this ship and crew. Nothing can be left to chance.
