Mission: Episode 03 - Frontier
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 5, Crew Quarters
Timeline: MD -02, 1830

Tiffany tried hard to keep her tears to herself but they were spilling out of her eyes anyway. She knew that they were red and puffy and snot threatened to run as well. But she was so upset that she just couldn't stay in her quarters anymore. She wanted Tabby to leave since she was the one being the big poohpooh head but she refused and they just kept fighting! It was so horrible the things Tabby was saying - even worse finding out that Tabby wasn't her Good and Special Best Friend but nothing more than a common backstabbing liar!

To think of all the things she did to stick up for the person she thought was her friend! She risked arrest and punishment and so many things and all of it was because of nothing more than a big lie!

She stopped in the middle of the hall and leaned against the wall, so overcome that her entire body wracked with sobs. There was no way for her to try to stop it from coming this time. Tabby was the worst person in the entire galaxy! She needed to get more distance from that lying, sleazy, selfish pooh pooh head! Because...because...she cried harder. She had to find someone she could be with, someone to hold and comfort her.

She wanted Jeremy. He would be able to comfort her and help her past all this sadness! His big, powerful arms would be just the perfect comfort. But first she had to get off the wall and get off the deck. If she could get that far away maybe she would be able to keep herself together long enough to make it to his quarters.

Cyrus was doing his rounds, on his second day back to real work. He had to say it ws good all things considered. He had had quite the experience good and bad, and the ship had not even leave Orbit. Now it was good to be on the way yet again. He noted Tiffany, wearing the pips of a Petty Officer and he smiled bitterly. That one woman had been the single largest reason he had almost lost his job. He knew he needed to get over it, she was 'friends' with his department head, but that wasn't as easy as he thought it would be. Continuing his patrol he inclined his head towards the Operations officer. "Ma'am" He said briefly.

Startled, Tiffany looked up and saw Cyrus in the same hall as her. She didn't think it was possible but that just made her cry harder. He probably knew about the fight and that's why he was smiling. What a JERK! he was! Even though Tabby lied, that didn't change anything else about him. But, somehow, it just made her both madder and sadder and she couldn't stop crying. She turned away from him only to wait for him to pass. There was no way she was going to share a turbolift with him. She didn't even want to share the corridor with him, but it seemed there was no choice. The ship was too small for her to be able to avoid him entirely but she didn't want to see him right now.

Maybe he should be with Tabby - the Jerky Pig and the Lying Pooh Pooh Head deserved each other!

He stopped suddenly as she walked by. Was she crying? Turning he took the couple extra steps back to the girl. "Tiffany...are you alright? " He looked over to the Operations Officer in a mix of concern and professionalism. He had already been walking a fine rope as it was, the last thing he needed was one other thing to send him back into a clearance suspension.

"Go away!" she said between sobs. "I don't want anybody to see me like this. Much less you! You're just going to wind up being a big jerk about it all anyway so what does it matter?" She started to walk away, weaving as her vision blurred because of all her tears.

Then why are you walking the halls at 6: 30 in the evening He asked himself. Sighing, and unsure why he was even trying to help the single bane of his existance, he moved with her so they were side by side. "Tell you what. I won't tell anyone, if you well this 'big jerk of a pig' what happened. I still owe Tabby that apology remember. I promise is a promise. " He smiled, but couldn't help but thinking if all the women on Galileo were slightly eccentric to varying degrees.

Tiffany stopped and turned on him, fixing him with her I'm So Very Mad Glare because...was he trying to be funny? "Oh, you don't have to bother with that. I guess that was the one thing you were being honest about. She's such a damned liar!" She gasped and covered her mouth with both hands but then started crying again, so upset that she had used a Naughty Word. But even more so cause now Kiwosk would just begin bullying her again. And gloating. She could stand up to the bullying but how did she put up with the gloating that he was right about just one thing? And that she was wrong because she believed her friend and wanted her friend to be okay. But as it turned out it wasn't her friend it was just another bad person that didn't know a thing about being friends! Why did Tiffany have so many people like that around her? She needed Jeremy even more - or maybe even Kell.

To say he was confused would have been an understatement. "Liar? Who?" Then it dawned on him. "Tabby, right? Your friend. " she must have lied to Tiffany about...me... Cyrus quelled the fury that was now directed at this faceless Tabby character. "Oh Tiffany." He was genuinely sorry for what had happened, but that still didn't change what the young woman had done. "Well, I could stand here and tell you...'I told you so', but I doubt that's going to be very productive. My real concern is how you are feeling. You did a lot of things that could have cost you your entire career for your friend. I can honestly say that I'm sorry that this Tabby treated you the way she did, and I'm sorry that my anger was directed at the wrong person. You said what you said for your friend." He held up a hand. "I don't approve of what you did, but knowing what I know now, I think I may have a chat with Tabby regardless on how not to treat fellow members of Starfleet. You didn't deserve to be treated like that." He felt bad for how this Tabby had treated Tiffany, but he was far from ready to excuse her from her previous actions.

"She's not my friend!" Tiffany said. "Friends don't lie to each other to make themselves feel better. I never said to anyone all the things she said to me about you. About how you did actually go out and you promised to take her out again but then laughed at her. She's just such a Big Lying Pile of Steaming Lying POOH!" Tiffany said stomping. "And you can't tell people how to act because everything else I said is true. You were still mean to people! You're not much better than her. But..." she bit her lip. "At least you didn't lie to me and that's so much better than what she did! And Jeremy said that you weren't going to be a bully anymore or you'd get in trouble...but nobody can tell Miss Lying To Make Myself Look Better PoopHead that she can't lie about people anymore because how does anyone prove it unless she confesses and she only confesses because she has to because we've been fighting for two days now. Two whole days with her being all crabby like it's that time of the month and telling me how horrible I am for sticking up for her and telling people what you did - well, not all of what you did but just enough so that people would know - and then none of it was true! Now I look like the Big Meanie Bully Person and don't even have a friend who I stayed up all night comforting with wine and fondue because she was so upset!"

"You're not, you were defending someone who did you wrong. Standing up to a superior officer like that takes balls...big ones. In any other situation, like if it had been true, I would have backed off immidiately. I'm sorry that I was angry as well." Cyrus smiled. " As for my bullying people, sometimes I'm harsh, but I always have a reason PO. I don't like snapping, or getting mad at people, but when someone is telling me something, yelling at me something that isn't true...how was I supposed to react? I couldn't let you off the hook and just yell as you were doing, and I think you realize that now. " He chuckled. "Shi..... pooh happens Miss Darwisch. I don't hold it against you, now that I know why. If anything, I feel bad for having to do what I did.

He thought for a moment. "Does that sound like I'm a bully?"

Tiffany bit her lip again. "No," she finally said. "But all the other stuff you did to the other people. Like Lt. Panne, is a really great person and part of my book club and really smart and you've been a bully to her ever since you got here and that's not right and...and..." She scrunched her brows together trying to think of the others, but it was hard right now and she was so upset. She folded her arms across her chest. "And I'm sorry that I told everyone all those things that weren't true! I guess Doctor Dhuinn is lucky to have you because maybe you're not such a big piggy jerk like Johnny was with all the muscles and Aren't I So Wonderful, cause Jeremy said that he didn't see any evidence that you had done anything wrong with womanzing and he talked to Tabby and he was the one who finally told me that she admitted she had lied and none of it was true and now she's not my friend anymore because I hate liars more than I hate big piggy jerky pig jerks! And, I guess, maybe, I should really apologize again."

She looked as if she would cry again. "OH! I know, I'll tell everyone at the talent night that Jeremy is putting together! You can come and you'll see that I'll tell everyone that I was wrong and you're not such a big piggy jerky pig jerk and you'll know that I really am sorry! Plus it'll be more people coming to the party to let Jeremy know that people really do like him."

Cyrus laughed and nodded. "I'll be there Tiffany, you can count on it." Lieutenant Panne. She was probably the biggest mistake that she made. "PO, you are right about Lieutenant Panne, I haven't been the nicest to her, but that won't be happening again. I have been a bit of a jerky pig jerk. But I'm working on it. "

Upon hearing what Tiffany had in store at the Talent show he chuckled again. "That's not needed, the fact you apologized to me hear is more than enough, you don't need to do that PO. " He sighed. "But I want you to promised me you won't start to start sh... pooh with anyone else like you did with me. Okay? you really good get in serious trouble if you do. And I don't want to lose an important member of the crew like yourself." He felt much better about Tiffany, now that the air had been cleared, but for her sake he wanted to make sure she wouldn't attack the next poor soul to show up in her iron sights.

Tiffany bit her lip. "Well, I'll certainly make sure it's true first!" She tried to smile, but was still too upset. "But don't tell Jeremy about the plans! He's just supposed to think that he's helping us out with this and then it'll be a big surprise!"

The olive branch extended and the comprimise given. Cyrus wasn't going to push the issue. "Done and done. I won't tell a soul." He chuckled. "Now I've got to get going on my round or the Lieutenant will have my head on a platter."

"Yeah," she said, smiling now, "and let Sidi play fetch with it!"

Sidi...OH ! the dog. He was always forgetting about the canine. "Too true. I'll see you around PO." Cyrus gave her a small wave and made for the rest of his deck patrol.

"Goodbye, Chief Not a Big Jerky Pig Kiwosk," he said, smiling again. Oddly enough, she did feel better because she was able to talk to him. And maybe she shouldn't go find Jeremy (and Sidi) but go back to her room and show Tabby a thing or two about crossing her.
