Mission: Episode 03 - Frontier
Location: USS Galileo: Pola's Quarters
Timeline: MD -01 0327 hours

ON:

Twisting the tube of lipstick, Pola watched as the siren red colour disappeared back into the tube before she was able to click the lid back into place. Pressing her lips together, she watched in the mirror as the skin around the lips turned white from the pressure before the pink hue to her skin reappeared once she released the tension.

As she moved a hand to the back of her head, Pola piled her hair at the back before letting go, allowing the curls to cascade down over her shoulders and back, strands falling across her face. As she moved the strands away from her eyes, placing them to frame the oval structure of her face, she took one last glimpse at the image looking back at her in the mirror, hesitating before smoothing her hands down over the clingy material.

Her hesitation was from a moment of wondering of what she was about to do was right. Surely it was, he might be surprised but at the end of it all he'd like it...right? The clingy material felt foreign to her adult body, not having felt it since she passed the ages of being a teen, but this is what men often liked, to watch a woman's body move and be able to follow the outline of what was underneath. He was a red blooded male with all the rest, surely he'd like this?

The siren red material set off her black hair, matching the colour she'd painted onto her lips. The heels she slipped her feet into, added 3-4 inches to her height, something which would bring them to almost eye level. As she thought of those brown eyes, the twinkle they always contained just for her, Pola straightened her back with a renewed energy.

Gritting her teeth, she moved into the corridor, trying to ignore the few sets of eyes which moved to look her way in almost shock. She didn't need to be told she shocked people, she shocked herself as she felt a slight wobble as her feet readjusted to foreign shoes. She must have been out of her mind, why was she doing this??

With each step, she questioned if this was really right. Since the previous mission and the incident with Stone, Pola felt she'd lost something, but was uncertain what it may be. She kept questioning every decision she'd made, analysing every reaction she'd had and every time it ended up the same, everything was all her fault.

The nebula and the Klingons, the explosion of Amril's craft, the deaths of the crew, Stone's psychotic break. Putting Jessica and a crewmember at risk by provoking Stone to the point that he finally flipped.

All Pola really knew was that when she was with the man who's quarters she was headed for, everything felt right again. Every time he held her, kissed her, even just walked with her it felt right, she felt normal...even felt loved. She felt like she had a reason, that she didn't need to be alone anymore. Barely two weeks and it still felt like a dream, a dream which needed a slight shakeup, hopefully in a good way.

Pulling her shoulder's back, Pola set her eyes on her intended destination and what lay behind it.
