Mission: Episode 02 - Resupply
Location: USS Galileo: Science Office
Timeline: MD8 1100

Kiri was reviewing duty rotas for after shore level. The excitement and worry from the morning had passed, even the alterations to the sensors were well under way so it was back to normal duties, the ship returning more and more to normal each day. Every few minutes her head would droop slightly as she struggled to stay awake. There was work to be done though, sleep right now was the scariest proposition she had. Hair tied back, uniform prim, any moment she actually stopped to look around in she felt lonely. So many people were off the ship there wasn't much of a department right now, or a ship for that matter. Time passed until startlingly her combadge chirped, waking her up properly.

Lt. Cho, came Mor'an's voice, slightly garbled over the combadge, Please report to operations.

Rather confused Kiri stood up and tapped on her own badge, "I'll be there right away." Closing her work station she rubbed her eyes and left the office, making sure not to yawn too much. Every part of her was stiff and while coffee had helped, she was shattered. Time blurred as she crossed the corridor and took the turbolift down to deck six. She couldn't really tell that fifteen seconds had passed, she'd left her office and reached this one in a flash. As the doors opened she peaked inside, "Hello?"

"Kiri," Mor'an said in greeting as the girl appeared. She was seated at her station when Kiri arrived but now stood as Kiri came closer. "You are being given a new rooming assignment to go along with you promotion." She smiled wide. "I was unable to congratulate you earlier, so I would like to do so now."

Kiri winced slightly at having her first name used, the fact she was getting a new room surprised her though. It hadn't even crossed her mind that she could have one let lone was being given one. Looking surmised for once she bowed her head before stopping half way to make eye contact, "Thank you." It was nice to be told so even if it was a little late, "Could you tell me where my new quarters are?"

"I shall take you to them myself," Mor'an said, gesturing for Kiri to follow. She walked briskly and with purpose down the corridor, not bothering to make sure sure Kiri was following. Mor'an knew she would be.

Mildly confused in her tired state Kiri sailed in Mor'ans wake through the corridors, counting her steps in her head to try and make herself more alert. It was starting to work by the time they came to a stop. The idea of moving somewhere new was interesting but she had started to feel at home in her little room. It was safe whatever happened, unless the ship was destroyed, somewhere else might not be, but if it had windows... Thinking and counting silently she forgot to speak but she didn't really have anything to say.

"Here we are," Mor'an said, stopping in front of one of the doors in the corridor. She pressed the bottom and the doors slid aside to reveal a quaint room with a little window looking out into the darkness. Mor'an gestured for Kiri to enter the room.

It was huge. While there wasn't a kitchen the living space was almost the same sizes as her living room on Earth. Windows that looked out to space that ran along the outer edge of the ship. A desk, bookcases, a small sofa and a small table against the wall. If it had three bedrooms it would be almost bigger than where she grew up. How could she fill all this space on her won, "It's quite big." She hadn't even seen the bedroom yet either.

"Yes," Mor'an said in agreement, "I do hope you will like living here. It will be quite a change from your previous quarters. Do you require help moving your belongings?"

Kiri took stock of her belongings in her head, it didn't even fill two boxes and she could carry that. Shaking her head she gave a small smile, "I'll be fine, there isn't that much to carry."

"Than I shall leave you," Mor'an said with a smile as she turned and strode from the room.
