Mission: Episode 15 - Emanation
Location: Earth - Iowa, Davenport, 2606 W 60th St
Timeline: March 11th 2018

[ON]

March 22nd, 2018 - Iowa

Abbey shouldered the military camouflaged backpack, one of her mums. Jules sported a matching bag and the pair had raided her mother's wardrobe and though the army get-up was a little big for Jules they were just right for Abbey, the figured that since it was at the back that it was her mothers older stuff. "Ready?" Abbey asked Jules, who nodded in return.

Abbey finally picked up the rifle and opened the front door, it squeaked and she made a mental note to find some door grease during their supply run. They didn't want to go house to house and instead decided to hit the 7/11 two block away. The pair walked out of the house and through the electric gate which opened soundlessly. Checking the street for carni's they finally stepped out onto the street.

She was shocked at the scene, it was surprising how quick nature would reclaim the city but already after 3 months tree roots were pushing up pavements and weeds growing in gardens. "Terrible" She signed to Jules as they moved along the road. Avoiding broken glass, twigs and anything else that would make a noise they made it to the 7/11. The store's window was broken but the shelfs looked mostly stocked. Anyone trying to steal anything during the looting was either shot or mauled to death Abbey thought. Stepping through the broken window she motioned for Jules to go the other way. They were crazily quiet, though having spent 2 months not talking or making any noise at all it was no surprise.

Walking through the shop the smell of rotting food stung her nose and eyes, she did everything to block it out but even with her nose covered with the sleeve of her shirt wasn't enough.

Movingly soundlessly and quickly the pair hurried filling thier bags with tins and jars of non-perishable foods, some already out of date but probabaly fine for atleast a few more weeks. After about twenty minutes the pair returned in the doorway.

Abbey was about to say something when the holodeck began to ripple before shutting down. “Damn it!” She said dryly, obviously she had used up her hour of holodeck time for the day. “Computer save current point” after it acknowledged that the save was complete she made her way out of the holodeck.
