Previously, on It's Alive? (Part 1)...

"She didn't say, just wanted you and Commander Ban to meet with her." Mimi said as they wound back through the dorm. "Something important I would guess."

Miraj sighed and shuffled along yawning. "This better be good. It's not so much five bells as Hell's Bells," she complained.

Mimi cocked her head to the side a little, she'd not heard the term ''Hells Bells' before and thought of asking Miraj what it meant but decided to wait till after this meeting.

And Now, the Conclusion...

[ON]

They arrived in the infirmary a few moments later.

"Ah come on in, please make yourself comfortable. The replicator works reasonably well. There are some things on medical records I need to go over with everyone." Allyndra would keep up the fiction as long as possible.

Amaranai turned away from the others as they entered, unsure of who might be there and waited for Allyndra to speak.

Allyndra would wait for Ban to arrive before she got started.

Aren arrived shortly behind Mimi. He noticed several members of Galileo's crew, and several that he assumed were apart of the crew but didn't recognize. "Good Morning, Commander Warraquim. What can I do for you this morning?" He asked, raising a eyebrow as he noticed the human male was unconscious.

"Good day commander, glad you could make it at this early hour. Need to get some information." She indicated for Ban to take a seat on the bed opposite Amaranai and then got a PaDD. She then wrote on it and then handed it over to the commander. It read: 'This is Lieutenant Amarani and the other person on the bed is Commander Wyatt. They both came here not as part of the group but in a surviving Galileo shuttle. Commander Wyatt is not shape to fly but we might have a way to get a message out.'

"So sir, does that information seem correct to you?" Allyndra was pretty sure they were not being too closely monitored but she was going to play it safe for a bit still.

Aren nodded in understanding. "Yes. That information is correct. Thank you for checking with me. I wanted to make sure that we had a good duty schedule that was able to meet all the demands of the colony. Though I see one change I want to make, may I?" He asked, playing along and reaching for the PADD and the stylus.

He started to jot down his question. Where is the shuttle? How soon can we get to it? What is the status of the warp drive and impulse engines? He wrote, before handing it back to her. "What do you think of those changes? I think Ensign Derani would be very helpful in assisting with the shuttle repair later this morning." He continued with the charade.

Allyndra read it and then turned to Amarani and showed her the message. "So doctor, what is your considered opinion?" She had just added, play along.

Amaranai took the PADD from Allyndra and stared at it for a moment. She wrote a new comment below the commander's.

"I think," she said. "This opinion is better."

The shuttle is outside the main colony walls. It's impulse engines are functional. The warp drive might be capable but we don't know.

Allyndra nodded and smiled slightly. "Thank you doctor, let me pass this on." She turned back to Ban and then waved Mimi and Miraj over. "I think sir, you will find this an excellent opinion."

Aren nodded. "Aright. Make the changes. I want a status report within the hour." He said, wanting to make sure that they followed up. This might just be there chance to get a message out to the Federation.

When they had arrived, Mimi had gone forward, but Miraj had stopped at the door, having noted the figure with the primitive drug line lying still on the biobed. She approached with trepidation, part fearing that it wasn't who she thought, and part fearing tht it was, ruined beyond saving on the backward rock. "Luke?"

Allyndra waved Mimi and Miraj over. "I need to update you on the status of things."

But Miraj was oblivious. She had gone to Luke, overjoyed that he was still alive. He was sedated, sleeping, battered and looked like death warmed up, but alive. It was the best thing that had happened since the Moron general had blown them up.

Allyndra was a bit peeved that Miraj veered off toward Wyatt but she said nothing. One could see that she was concerned about the man and it was more than just casual interest.

"Mimi, I want to show you this," Allyndra showed her the text messages that they had typed. She then tapped, Think you can create some diversion when we get ready?

Mimi quickly read through what was on the PaDD and was pleasantly surprised. "Looks good to me Allyndra." she said before handing it back When and where?

Soon Allyndra typed back.

Allyndra hated to interrupt but this was just too important. "He is stable Miraj, just needs time for the body to help heal itself. Here l need you to give me some advice."

Miraj tore her eyes away from Luke's battered face and turned to the doctor, confused. "Me?"

Allyndra showed the PaDD that she had typed: Luke and Amarani managed to survive by getting to one of Galileo's shuttles. They were not captured like the rest and the shuttle they used in the shadow of one of the warships to get here. We are going to attempt to reverse that and then take the shuttle out of the nebula to call for help. You will pilot and Amarani will go with you.

"Which shuttle?" Miraj said aloud, before wincing, as she realised what she had done. She took the PADD. I mean. Vincenzo was taken by the Klingons

Allyndra gave Miraj a pointed look. She hoped that they were not being monitored but kept her face schooled to be neutral as though what she said did not mean anything. However, when she got the PaDD and read it her hearts skipped beats, she was positive of that.

She simply typed, Status?

Miraj looked at the word, and shook her head, the pink bunches flicking around her face, "We can't - Sorry!" she winced again, and then her thumbs moved on the PADD. Ginny is in pieces at the back of the primary shuttle hangar here. They were stripping her hull plating.

Allyndra felt as if the icy world had crushed her. She had tried to think of all sorts of things to help their escape and the fact that Amaranai and Wyatt had shadowed in with a viable shuttle had been a glimmer of hope. Obviously the linking of the pods to emit a single signal had not worked either. Throwing monkey wrenches into the workings was not going to fully help either.

"Thank you," she just said trying to keep the emotion out of her voice and simply handed the PaDD back to Ban with the addition of Please share this.. It was just too much and she needed some time alone and walked out and away from the sickbay.

Aren sighed as accepted the PaDD. He was disappointed that the plan didn't pan out. While he was glad that both Wyatt and Amaranai were both alive, he had hoped that the crew would be able to get a message out to Starfleet. He stood and nodded to those that were gathered. "I will make the duty changes, and Ensign Derani please take the rest of the day off. That is an order. Report to me tomorrow morning, 0800." Aren said with sympathy. He hadn't failed to notice the pained look on her face when she saw Wyatt which betrayed that something was going on between them. "The rest of you can go about about your assigned duties." He finished as he followed Allyndra out of the room.

Amaranai was a little confused by the exchange that had happened and not only had Allyndra left, but the other man that Amaranai did not recognize. She also felt a little annoyed that Miraj had been so concerned for Luke and didn't even acknowledge her but blamed that on Luke's current condition. Based on Allyndra's reaction and the other man, it seemed like their plan might not be plausible after all.

When the officer left, all Amaranai could do was lay there until the medication kicked in fully and she could leave. She was just going to have to stick close to Luke and the other Starfleet officers in hopes of finding a new plan.

With the day now her own, Miraj gave Commander Ban a grateful nod, before finding a chair and pulled it up next to Luke, unwilling to be anywhere else, in case he woke up.

Not sure what to do next Mimi simply left the infirmary and went for a walk.
