Mission: Episode 11 - Divinum Mundi
Location: holodeck 1
Timeline: MD 41 1430 hours

ON:

Rounding the corner Mimi approached the holodeck, she had it booked for the next 45 minutes and was in the mood for a simple relaxation program and she'd dressed accordingly, short but loose shorts and a thin white blouse leaving a lot of her sandy skin on show. Looking at the list she found one that looked interesting, it was a cardassian sauna registered to another member of the crew but not listed as private so she started the program and headed inside.

Inside lay a cave and in its centre lay a glowing core releasing lots of heat surrounded by a series of rough looking rocks, she'd used a similar program before and found the humidity a little too high for her liking and the rocks a little too rough for her very delicate skin. "Computer lower humidity by 25% and give me a thick fluffy towel large enough to go over these rocks. The computer beeped and instantly the ambient temperature felt much more comfortable and the requested towel appeared over one of the rocks.

Taking off her shoes and climbing onto the rock she lay down on her back, shifted around a little till she was comfortable and stretched out enjoying the warmth coming from the rocks.

Eelim had finally gotten some free time. He decided to use it on the holodeck to clear his head. He didn't recall if he'd booked it but he thought he did. He called for the program and while the computer said that the program was already running he just heard 'program running.'

He walked in not knowing how to feel. Tuula tried to get naked with him, Allyndra....well that was an interesting experience, he wondered what else could go wrong. If something else happened he swore he'd delete the program.

Eelim entered and stopped cold when the doors closed. There was...a ....a cat on the rock, a big cat. She was on her side slowly rubbing her legs against a towel on the rock purring....

With her eyes closed engrossed in the warm feelings across her body Mimi didn't see Eelim enter.

"Um...I am so sorry he said backing up." Really he was thinking Crap! Another Holodeck encounter with a lady.

Mimi's ears perked up when she heard a voice she didn't recognise, opening her eyes she looked up and saw something she didn't expect at all; a cardassian with a surprised look on his face.

Eelim smiled awkwardly. "Hello....um...I'm sorry I didn't know this was in use." To be honest he didn't pay attention.

"Hi." Mimi said, sitting up she looked him over, she didn't know there were any cardassian in starfleet. "I have it booked till 2000hrs."

"Um...I guess I forgot to book it." He smiled sheepishly. "I will have to come back then."

"You can join me if you like." Mimi suddenly decided to say, it was clear the Cardassian stood there had came to use the holodeck and it was a Cardassian program she was running so it seemed right to her to offer, from what she had gathered not many people sauna'd alone. Plus it was a member of the crew she'd never met before.

His brain screamed no already weary of what can go wrong this time but maybe this would be okay... "Alright...That would be great." Besides he never met someone like this lady. He removed his shirt and lay on the opposite rock. It felt a bit awkward but he didn't know how to start the conversation.

Mimi lay herself back down and her tail settled back behind her. "I'm Mimi, Ensign Mimi from Operations."

"I'm Junior Lieutenant Eelim Galan." He smiled and extended his hand. "Nice to meet you."

Reaching over Mimi took Eelim's hand, she was sure she recognised the name from some ship gossip. "Nice to meet you too, what brings a cardassian into starfleet. I was told most cardassians don't like the federation?" it hadn't taken long for her curiosity to get the better of her manners.

Eelim smiled. He started to relax. This might turn out okay. Not stripping and no biting. "Well I like what the Federation stood for, didn't like what the Cardsassians stood for and I joined." He thought a moment. "How about you?"

Shifting onto her back Mimi stretched out, she was in a good mood and didn't want to spoil it so gave the simple version. "A starfleet ship saved my life and I owe them a debt of....Hvala. So I decided to join up."

Eelim nodded. "I can understand that. So why OPS?"

"My real mother taught me a lot of things that were kind of similar to what Ops does." Mimi replied "My foster mother was an ops officer. I started to work with her and she taught me."

"That's great!" He smiled relaxing a bit. This was going to be good. He was actually having a relaxing time and a good chat. "So how are you liking the ship so far?"

"I'm liking it so far, the ship is smaller than I expected but I'm used to small. My room mate is nice too."

Eelim smiled. "Glad you like it!" He lay silent and enjoying the program for a moment.

Mimi lay back in silence for a little too going back to enjoying the warmth, soon the quiet was broken by a low purr coming from her lips.

Startled Eelim looked over. "Are you okay?"

"Yes I'm fine." Mimi replied opening her eyes. "Purring is a sign I'm enjoying myself. I like the heat."

"Not many people do." It had been his experience. His quarters he'd turned up the heating as much as possible and that was easy to do since he currently did not have a roommate. "I've never met someone of your species."

"Not many have." Mimi said then rolled onto her front and turned to face Eelim, her tail popped up gently twitching as she lay there. "There are no other Nekomi in the federation."

"It's hard when that's the case. Not may Cardassians in the Fleet too." he said. He grinned. So far no biting this was good.

"True, but at least you have other Cardassians to talk to if you need to, I have no one of my own kind and don't know where to find any."

"Well I have only my brother and sister and I don't talk to them much as they joined up...different places. My brother is with the Romulans and my sister with the Klingons."

"I don't even have that." Mimi countered. "Everyone I ever knew was killed, by Klingons."

He looked at her "I am so sorry! Well the Galileo is your family now, we all are."

"Closest thing I have to a family now is my foster mother, my crewmates and my friends." Mimi took a deep breath and then sighed slightly. "I do hope that one day I can find my homeworld."

"Well Mimi, I have found that in this infinite universe everything is possible." He looked at the time. "Well I think I should get ready to leave soon. It's been a long day."

Mimi suddenly realised where she knew Eelim from. "You sure you want to leave before I've had a chance to bite you myself?" She said with a laugh, she and most of the ship had heard what happened between Eelim and the Cmo.

Eelim's neck ridges turned red. "What?" He looked at Mimi wide eyed. "How...how did you?"

Mimi giggled "News travels fast on a small ship like this. I heard about it from someone else in ops who heard it from someone in security and so on."

Eelim tried to keep calm. He stood and headed towards the door. He turned to look at Mimi feeling upset and off balance. “Listen here Miss Mimi. You can tell your friend in ops, to tell the person in security and whoever else is gossiping about this that they are wrong. Nothing happened.” He wanted to protect Allyndra from gossip. “Ensign Mimi, you are never to speak of this again. In fact if you hear others speaking of them set them straight. Nobody bit me. Nothing happened.” He hadn’t told the story to anyone, it was in his personal logs but….how would someone get into his personal logs? “Do you understand me Ensign?” He never pulled rank but he would to protect Allyndra.

"Yes, Sir." Mimi replied, her smile disappearing quickly. She really regretted mentioning it now.

“Thank you.” Eelim’s voice was gentle. “Enjoy the sauna.” He turned and headed out the door. He sighed. He needed some private time and the best place for that was the airlock.

"Nice work there Mimi. Ruined that didn't you." She sighed and slipped off the rock then recovered her shoes. "Computer end program." She called, her good mood now somewhat soured. The holodeck shimmered and reverted back to its standard black and green form, turning the she headed for the door.
