Mission: Episode 11 - Divinum Mundi
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 1, Conference room
Timeline: MD01 -1030 hours

[ON]

Galan had just arrived a short while ago. Checklist in hand he'd gone through OPS and now was about to meet the XO and the second XO. He stood outside the conference room. He hated these first step meetings. You only get one chance to make a first impression and when you were nervous....well it didn't help.

He sighed and straightened his uniform. The doors whooshed open and he walked in. "Junior Lieutenant Eelim Galan reporting for duty."

He tossed his bag on the floor by the door.

Holliday had ben taking some time to get together with his 2XO to review some of the more recent status updates. Kohl had proven himself a capable leader, and Jonathan had been proud to see his development from the rank and file up to the third most senior person aboard ship. As the doors parted, Holliday had just passed back a PADD containing the most recent updates from the Engineering division for review, but stopped short of starting the discussion.

"Lieutenant. Take a seat. Commander Kohl and I were just finishing up."

Galan gave a nod, the proper Starfleet salute and then he took a seat. When dealing with the bosses it was always good to let them lead he discussion. He took the time to look around the room. Everything on the ship looked amazing to him.

Watching Galan approch, Andreus Kohl pushed off from his chair and rose to his feet. He stood tall for Galan, offering a nod to accept his salute. Kohl waited for Galan to sit before he returned to his chair. "I hope your travel to Galileo was without much event or hardships?" Kohl asked, with only a hint of whimsy.

"It was fine Sir," he said happy that someone had retuned the salute. "She is a beautiful ship."

"That she is Lieutenant." Holliday replied with an agreeable nod. Galileo wasn't exactly the biggest, the fastest or the most heavily armed ship in the fleet, but she certainly looked good sat in spacedock as a piece of fleet eye-candy. He had become rather fond of the little ship that he had called his own up until recently.

"Are you experienced with serving on smaller vessels? I know the more...intimate..living and working conditions sometimes become a bit of a problem for new transfers who are used to something a little larger than a Nova class?"

"Yes sir. Both of my previous ships were tiny." He smiled. "It used to be called Sardine city. My last assignment on the Allen was a trial...my Fiancée hated the small quarters but I'm usually okay with it."

He shrugged, "A ship is a ship, as long as it sails the starry sky I'm happy."

"We'll do our best to stay in the..sky..in that case." Holliday replied, He was glad to hear that the officer already had some experience of being in close quarters - Galileo had had her fair share of people who were used to being on much larger Galaxy or similar sized postings, and then struggled to adapt to the situation aboard a Nova.

"I trust you've had time to acclimate to the ship? Locate your quarters etc?"

"I know where my quarters are but haven't been there yet. I did meet my department CO, got all the medical stuff ready going there next, and then the counselor."
