Mission: Episode 11 - Divinum Mundi
Location: Starbase 234
Timeline: MD 15 early morning.

Mimi walked slowly through the docking bay of starbase 234, her tail gently swishing behind her with each step, her foster mother Maria walked beside her helping carry her bags.

“So this is it Mimi.” Maria told her daughter as they walked towards that runabout that would be taking her away to her new assignment. “I knew you'd be leaving me some day, didn't think it would be so soon though.”

“Me too” Mimi replied “I would prefer to stay with you but orders are orders.” The reassignment to the Galileo had come as a surprise only a few hours after the USS Charlstone had dock at the base for resupply a few weeks shoreleave.

“You'll call me or send me a message occasionally won't you?”

“Of course I will. And I'll send you stories about all the different spccies I meet.”

As they reached the security checkpoint just outside the hangar bay Maria put the bags down and embraced Mimi giving her one last love filled hug and rub of her ears. “Now enjoy yourself and don't do anything foolish, I won't be there to help you if you get your tail wraps itself around another young mans thigh again.”

Mimi laughed lightly trying to stop herself from crying just as she had last time she left her. “Baik stvar sayan ama.” Mimi said goodbye to her mother in her own native language

“Baik stvar sayan tytar.” Maria replied then finally let go of Mimi and handed her her bags.

Taking a deep breath Mimi approached the checkpoint. “Morning petty officer.” She greeted the young Andorian that manned the entrance.

“Moring Ma'am.” He replied.

Mimi dropped her bags down and pulled a PADD from her pocket “I've orders to board the Jefferson it's taking me to my new assignment.”

“Ok.” The Andorian took the PADD and glanced through it before checking the console beside him. “Everything checks out, you can go on through Ensign, your pilot is waiting for you.”

“Thank you.” Grabbing her bags Mimi headed through the door and started looking around for the Jefferson

Lt Henderson was standing by the runabout Jefferson, one of the older Danube class. The old girl was a workhorse for the starbase, handling priority cargo runs to deployed starships all over the sector. Besides cargo, his run included one operations ensign, fresh from the academy no doubt, but why she'd get priority he had no idea. Wasn't his place to question his orders and when he caught sight of the officer, he discreetly waved to get her attention.

As she wandered through the hangar bay Mimi saw a human male stood beside a runabout trying to get her attention 'This must be it' She headed over. "Good morning Lieutenant."

"Morning Ensign," Henderson responded, motioning to the runabout. "You have everything you need?"

"I do yes." Mimi said shuffling the bag on her shoulder a little. "Are we ready to go?"

"As soon as you are onboard we are, so if you get your gear onboard we can go." Henderson pulled open the access hatch so Mimi could go onboard the runabout.

Clambering into the runabout swiftly followed by Henderson, Mimi stashed her baggage away in the aft section and then headed to the cockpit where Henderson was already prepping the ship for take off. She slid into the seat beside him. "How long is it going to take us to get to Celes?"

"If all goes well about two and a half days." Henderson replied.

Mimi didn't quite like the sound of being 'trapped' in a small ship for a few days with a man she'd only just met but that was the situation she was in.

Henderson opened a channel to the harbour master "Runabout Jefferson requesting permission to depart."

"Permission granted Jefferson take flight lane 3 until you reach the outer marker." Came the response.

"Understood." Closing the channel Henderson lifted the runabout off the deck of the hangar bay, swung it around and headed out the forcefield covering the exit. Mimi was on the way to her new assignment.
