Location: USS Galileo - Crew Quarters
Timeline: MD 22 - 2048

[ON]

Stepping out of the shower, Terje finished drying off his hair as he made his way into the main room. He was alone for the time being - the quartermaster had informed him that another officer would eventually be assigned to the suite - but still Terje maintained some modesty with a towel wrapped abut his hips until he could regain his own room and dress. After all, one never knew when a guest would happen by unannounced.

Minutes later, he emerged dressed and more or less dry. Terje padded over to the small kitchenette - not caring for a journey to the mess for food. He'd had a long day between arrival, check-in, and training straight out of the gate. All he wanted now was to settle in for the evening, eat a quick dinner and check some mail before calling it an early night. Setting a cup of broth and noodles to boil, Terje sat down at the console and began scanning through his incoming messages.

There weren't many. He had, after all, only just arrived. Yes, his family knew where he was headed, but they tended to wait until he checked in to start correspondence. Alright, then. He had a few moments before his broth was finished. Opening up a link to home, Terje started.

God Kveld!

It is nearly 2100 here in my space on the Galileo. Arrival to the station, and therefore the ship, was uneventful - if crowded. As of yet, the Federation has not perfected the concept of leg-room on their transports. One would think this problem could be solved by now?

I think this will be a good assignment. I know it is early to know for sure, but we had a training exercise today and I had a chance to meet some of my department. You would like my superior, Mamma. She is no-nonsense like you, but seems to have a good heart. Again, I know it is early to tell for certain.

Tell Luka and Pia that the ship is not so large as some, but has been freshly repaired from her last mission and feels almost like a new vessel. I do not think Tori will be much impressed, but send her my love all the same.

I do not know the protocol on pets at this moment, so for now it is best that Sygny stay with you. I fear she would be at a loss of what to do even if I knew she were allowed, and there - at least - she has room to run.

I will write you again soon when I know more. Until then, it is eat and then rest. God natt, and rest well when you do.

Your Terje.

Leaning back in his seat, Terje heard the chime sounding on his broth. Smiling, he pressed send and then shut down the unit before going to retrieve his supper.
