Mission: Episode 09 - Empires
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 3 Sickbay
Timeline: MD: Time 0100

ON:

Nizan was making his rounds of the ship when he came to the end of Deck 3, where sickbay was located. I do need to get my medical checkup done. He thought, stepping into sickbay.

Allyndra was singing. She had been doing that earlier and the mood and seemed to settle in on her and with sickbay empty, the experiments all humming away without attention, her book was being worked on by another so it was dull, boring in fact. She had been told even among her people that she had a good voice and Akkadians with their vocal systems akin to Earth avian species had quite a range. Thus she never heard the sickbay doors as she merrily sang away in her office.

Nizan stood in the middle of the room, looking around a little lost. "Um..."

A change in the light coming from the open window caught her attention as well as a slight movement. Her compound eyes were exquisitely sensitive to movement. She turned her head and shut up immediately. A young Bajoran was standing in the middle of the room looking very lost. She got up and stepped out of the office and said, "You look a bit lost can I help you?"

"Yeah. I'm here for my physical." Nizan responded, with a sigh.

Allyndra smiled and thought to herself, "Oh this one is a talker." She moved into the medical bay. "Sure, come on over to biobed two here. I don't think I have had the pleasure. I am Allyndra."

Nizan hopped up on the biobed before responding. "Nizan."

"Hello Nizan," Allyndra almost wanted to laugh. This one was definitely not much of a conversationalist, at least so far. She got a PaDD and found the man and pulled up medical history and scanned it. "So you work in security? Do your previous injuries impede you? Sometime burns if not treated properly can result in adhesions limiting mobility."

"They never have, if they ever do I'll let you know." Nizan preferred to forget the events that left him with the scars.

Allyndra caught the tone of the response. Something to leave alone at this point she thought and moved on. "Anything recent that I should be aware of? New injuries, new medications, that have taken place." She looked up from the PaDD and attempted humor one last time. "You know I don't bite...but rarely."

Nizan chuckled. "Nothing new happened, although that loss of gravity was a little rough."

"Did I hear a chuckle, a bit of a laugh?" Allyndra cocked her head with a smile. "I was beginning to wonder if you had anything but a full serious tone in your body. Almost had to make a medical note about that," she teased very slightly. She responded to the last quickly, "Yes you people just do not know how to fly do you?" She made that odd shrug which rustled and caused the gossmar wings to flutter slightly.

"Is that supposed to be a bug joke?" Nizan questioned. "And I spent 8 years in the academy, it tends to make you be serious."

"And I spent as much time as well and raised in a society that demands a certain discipline. None the less and bit less seriousness when required is not a bad thing. Guild Mother would say: 'Sorrows are all too easy to come by, thus we must make joy when we can'." Allyndra made a little note on the PaDD and then nodded and smiled again. "Your good to go."

"Thank you, Commander." Nizan replied, standing up.

Allyndra nodded. "Your welcome. Take care and do try to find some lightness in the day. Now off with you!" She made shooing motions with her hands but with a big smile.

Nizan grinned as he headed for the door. "I'm going, I'm going."
