Location: USS Galileo - Security offices
Timeline: MD30 1200 hrs

Pax came around to the security office, glancing around and taking stock of the place. It was typical enough so far, bare, clean, no nonsense. She tried the security Chief's office door a few times but got no answer. Maybe they were busy or off duty. Pax tapped the Pad with her orders on the palm of her hand and turned around, peaking into another nearby office where the door was left open. There was am Andorian there looking like she was reviewing the modernly misnomered 'paper'work.

"Hi, sorry to interrupt." Pax interrupted.

Tharia looked up from her work. When she saw who was standing in the doorway, she was surprised. Before her stood a species she had never seen before, and in the last twenty year she'd seen quite a lot of species. She studied the woman from head to toe, or to be exact, from horns to toe. Realising she was starting she apologized and said. "How can I help you?"

She motioned to her orders. "I'm the new Master at Arms. Just wanted to check in with the Chief and get set up here."

"The Chief's office in on the other side of the room. But I don't know if he is in at the moment. You can always contact him by comm." Tharia said.

"I tried. Maybe he's got it turned off or he's busy on the station. Hazards of trying to report in during everyone's shoreleave I guess." She tucked the Padd back under her arm and extended a hand. "Pax." She introduced herself, figuring they'd be co-workers soon enough anyway.

Tharia moved her chair back and stood up. Offering her hand to the Galileo's new Master at Arms. "Tharia," she said. "Welcome to the Galileo. Is there anything I can help you with while you wait for the Chief to come out of hiding?"

"Do you have the clearance to get me checked in? I mean, meeting with the Chief is important but kind of a formality. He's just likely to hand off the paperwork to someone else anyway. I'll catch up to him later."

"I have no idea, but there is only one way of finding that out. Follow me," she walked to another station. "Let's start with seeing what is already arranged for you" She tapped through a few commands and eventually found the Chief's record.

"The transfer orders are complete as far as I'm aware," Pax said as she looked on. "Of course it'd be a real security breach if they weren't and you gave me weapons locker access." she chuckled. "I should probably shut up before I say something stupid here."

Tharia raised an eyebrow to the woman's rambling. What kind of security would they be running here if they gave someone access to an weapons locker without the right orders. She searched for the record of the Galileo's new Master at Arms. "Here it is," she said after finding it. "I can give you partial access so that you can get around."

"Thanks. Even if it's just access to the offices, that's enough for me to start with. My foot in the door. I'm sure when he meets me the Chief will unlock the rest of the access I'll need."

"You're welcome," she turned around and went back to work. Seeing no need for idle chit chat.

"Great, see you around then, Tharia." Pax found her own way out again. It hadn't been wholly as successful as she would have liked but at least she could get started.
