Mission: Episode 07 - Sojourn
Location: USS Galileo Deck 3 Sickbay
Timeline: MD 07 Time 0600

ON:

It was almost that time of day again Allyndra thought, well at least as this ship kept time. Another couple of hours and she would be turning over everything to Mott to take on the day shift.

As shore leave was on, there was little need for the sickbay facility and Allyndra could only hope that when all returned it was in good health. Shore leave tended for some to get rather dangerous and she could always expect a few extra bumps and bruises, pains from too much excess and perhaps even one or two pregnancies along the way.

Allyndra finished her few notes for the hand off and then turned her attention to other matters. There was as always some leaving and some new personnel coming aboard. Most had been taken care of already but there were a few others still awaiting but considering that time schedules and all meant that things tended to get scattered.

Toby entered the sickbay, whistling a tune that he didn't think he ever knew the name of, but was catchy nonetheless. He looked around the nearly empty room, spotting Allyndra finishing up her notes. He walked over to where she was sitting with a grin, sketching a salute as he approaches her "Lieutenant Stroud, reporting as ordered"

Allyndra had heard the doors open and the door to the office was open as well. She watched the tall male she more or less pegged as human as he was whistling and entered. He was jaunty in his outlook and a bit of swagger to his walk. As he came to and said his rank and she guessed surname it did not ring a bell with her.

"Please, relax, and in my sickbay I tend not to like titles, ranks or surnames. So Allyndra will do." She waved a hand toward the chair opposite the she sat in and said, "Take a seat..." Hoping to prompt for a personal name.

"Toby, pleasetameecha" he replied, saying it all as one word as he tended to thanks to his accent. He sat down across form Allyndra and gave a grin. "So, I hear you are going to make sure I'm not going to die of Thelusian Flu or some other crazy thing!", he chuckled.

Allyndra smiled and almost chuckled at the demeanor of the man. She tapped the name in the console and brought up the record. "Ah! So you are new here and it says here flight duty." She thought to tease the man just a little, "as if any of you knew how to fly."

Toby acted shocked "I'll have you know that I almost ALWAYS bring my ships back in one piece!" He laughed loudly before sitting back in his chair. "And you are correct, my dear Doctor, I will be piloting this dear beaut of a ship as Assistant Chief. It'll be good to get the hell off this floating mushroom"

Allyndra could not help but tease some more, "Piloting, yes sounds like your accomplished. My boyfriend is as well but...oh never mind. I should not do such things as tease. Well then shall we get a baseline scan in then. If I can get you out to main sickbay you have your choice of all three of big selections of biobeds." Allyndra stood and then indicated with a hand the sickbay and walked out of the office grabbing a PaDD along the way.

Toby walked behind the doctor, noticing the large wings for the first time and grinning. He remembered a young Akkadian he met his first year in the Academy, limber girl that she was. The smile remained on his face as he hopped up on the closest biobed, feeling a bit more comfortable with the doctor's teasing "So should I get undressed for this, or what?"

Allyndra shook her head, "There is no need for that unless you find it more comfortable that way. Most beings find being unclothed is a position of vulnerability though there are exceptions such as Betazoids but for different cultural reasons. However if you do wish to disrobe I will have to put the privacy force curtain in place since some species are more body shy."

"Eh, no reason to put on a show if I don't have to" he chuckled, sitting back on the bed "So, 'Doc', what can I expect aboard this ship here? I take it you've been on board a while?"

"Less than a year. I transferred in from Obsidian Colony. A beautiful world and full of ocean like my own but I suppose the itch to be out among the stars was too great. As for this ship, well as with many there is always something that is going on but mostly to investigate things using the tools of science. Now then...," Allyndra changed the subject, "anything I should be aware of medically about you? Any new problems since your last check up?"

"Nothing too serious," Toby replied, "you're going to find a few broken bones in there from some intense Parrises Squares matches, but those are all healed and I don't seem to feel it unless it's raining" Toby grinned, as he hadn't experienced rain in a long time.

Allyndra nodded. Why was she not surprised from his personality that he liked that rather rough game. It was not the first time she had treated injuries from the sport or people sporting past injuries. "So nothing recent. Lie still a moment please while I get a baseline." She let the biobed do a full scan and noted the results. As indicated there were indications of past injuries but nothing recent.

"All allergies and medications look up to date, anything more there to add?" she asked.

"You tell me" Toby said with a smirk on his face, eyebrow raised "am I the model of a strong virile man or what?" He laughed.

"Well it would appear that strong yes from the developed musculature and yes the medical information and scan lists you as male. As to the virile I have no idea and I think I shall leave that to others to find out." Allyndra smiled but coloured slightly as she said the later. "Your officially cleared for duty." She signed the PaDD.
Looking up again from the PaDD, "Welcome aboard fly boy."

Toby hopped up off the biobed, large grin on his face. "Fantastic, thanks doc! See you around, I hope. In a more......casual setting." He sketched a slight salute as he exited the sick bay, again whistling some unknown tune.

Allydnra was not quite sure what man meant by that. It almost sounded like innuendo which humans seemed to be so fond of. She shrugged and went back to finish her work.
