ON:

Luke strolled down the corridor towards Amynto Markos' office. He had grown accustomed to their late night intelligence reports and came prepared with a PaDD tucked under one arm two wine glass' and in the other a bottle of wine which he had just replicated. Anyone watching him would think they were 'involved' but the truth behind the closed doors was they were simply making the best out of an impossibly boring situation. Backing up into the control panel he used his elbow to jab the controls. After a number of failed attempts it finally acknowledged and with a smile he stepped back and waited.

"Mr Wyatt...please come in," she said, with a small smile. She still wore her uniform, but her shoes were high stilettos instead of the regulation boots. "We have a lot of ground to cover, I think. Take a seat."

Luke walked in and smiled "I've told you to just call me Luke, besides you make my name sound frightening when you say it" He said placing the bottle, glass' and PaDD on the desk before taking a seat. "I brought something to smooth out the night" He pointed towards the wine.

"That is always welcomed," Amynta said softly, taking a deeper breath. "I rather like calling you Mr Wyatt. Frightening is good. Keeps people in check..." she said and met his eyes. "So. We have had an eventful time. Let's not repeat that."

"I don't like being frightening unless of course its for any candidates who wish to date my daughter in that case I can be very frightening" He nodded holding her gaze "But back to the business at hand. Yes Lets not ever repeat it again" Luke agreed about the last mission.

Amynta nodded, nodding to the wine. "How are you feeling? You had a bit of a...knock. More so than me," she said and met his eyes, searching them.

He nodded with a smile as he turned his attention to uncorking the wine "I am doing as well as could be expected, physically at least but I think the whole situation has every rattled up. It might be a while until things go back to normal" He finished at the wine cork popped of and he began pouring.

She nodded weakly, a small smile on her lips. "If anything, I just hope we can get rid of the tribbles. Sod the rest."

He frowned "Oh but I've started enjoying their company" He said trying to hide the truth and smile behind his straight lips.

She arched an eyebrow, watching him before reaching for the wine to sip it. "Good thing you brought this, or else I would have kicked you out of my office for saying rubbish like that."

Luke laughed at her comment before uncorking the bottle and began pouring her drink first of course. "We should try and ask the cardassians for there report on the incident to, they are still in communications range" He suggested passing her the glass now full with wine.

Her smile faded before she shook her head. "I am just finishing up something like that...a bit hush hush," she said before meeting his eyes. "Still. At least there's some sort of overall plan to get the little pests out..." she stopped and met his eyes. "How's your daughter?"

"She's doing better, with everything going on I - Haven't gone to see her yet but Tuula tells me after her initial great escape attempt she is getting better she also mentioned something about Lieutenant Pendleton?" He shrugged. "Which leads me to my next question should we include the 'riot' in sickbay? I heard it got heated by several members"

"I wasn't there," she admitted, shaking her head as she shrugged. "I am sure whatever it was is being dealt with at a higher level than us. Best to ignore it."

Luke tapped at his PaDD erasing any mention of the call over comm's and moved onto the next subject "Is there anything in particular you wish to add? " He asked sipping his drink of wine.

Amynta sipped her wine, considering it for a moment. "I want to add a clause for us never to go into mines again, but it might be my own prejudice..." she said almost playfully. "We should add in the success of the tribble and...other...investigations that happened during the mission."

He nodded "I would happily see that a mandate brought into starfleet but I doubt we will see it pass" He said smiling, thinking about the latter half of her comment. "You know my view on certain investigations I have yet to uncover anything yet" He said leaving it at that before deciding to pick it up "Why is it so personal to you Amynta?" he asked.

She met his eyes and drained her glass, shaking her head. "In my job, you rely on the team. Your intelligence team. It's not...the cloak and dagger, secret spy thing. It's sharing information. It's knowing the other person won't betray you or the Federation. So when a member of my team is hiding something, lying, abusing the position and our resources...well, it pisses me off. Because that time could have been spent putting us in a better position on this mission..." she met his eyes, searching them. "It's a betrayal. Some things you don't do on duty, that was one of them. Besides. I get a bad gut feeling about him. He feels dangerous. And not in the sort of way I can work with."

Luke nodded, he was unfamiliar with that feeling being that everyone in the Marines were capable of killing someone or something "I appreciate your honesty and I hope we can get down to the bottom of it" He took a sip from his drink "Now, I think we've cover mostly everything? Unless there's anything else that you think we should discuss?"

"Not at all," she said lightly as she looked at him. "I am happy with what we have. It's good to go over things before they are submitted up the chain. To avoid confusion. Neither of us have a complete overview of the entire ship."

"Indeed we don't, because if we did I can tell you those tribbles would have never gotten out of hand and that incident in sickbay wouldn't have happened!" He half joked with a smile.

She sat back, watching him for a long moment at the words. "Who knows. It is a bit above my...pay grade to consider all of those sides," she smiled weakly and nodded. "It's been fun, Lt. Wyatt. Take care."

Luke nodded and locked his PaDD. Though their meetings tended to be a brief moment of work and the odd small talk he still enjoyed the moment to get away and lull over the mission. "You to Lieutenant Markos, you to" He said standing up and dipping out through the door.
