[ON]

Louis walked into the door to his quarters. He had no idea what he was going to encounter, but it could not of been any more akward then the Anthropologist he had a Welcome Aboard drink with a few moments ago. He pressed his hand against the door reader and there was a chirp and a woosh. He stepped inside, he took a gaze at what he was around.

Paul was on the edge of his bed, fiddling with a new PADD he swiped from supply and listening to the latest dispatches from the Vulcan news service. He caught a glimpse of the slight, young Ensign and jumped with a start. "Jesus Christ." Paul laughed. "They told me not to expect anyone for a few weeks. Are you taking the other bed?"

"Well I am not this Jesus fellow, Though I did ascend into the transporters for three days. I do believe I am here to help you perfect your sins?" Louis threw forward a wolfish smile and went over to the other bed.

"It all depends, do you want a weird man spooning with you?" Louis let out a belly laugh.

"No, I mean I was just asking if you're my new roommate or if you were from like, maintenance or something." Paul chuckled and stood up. "I still haven't met everyone on ship myself. "I'm Wakeham Alasia" He extended his hand. "People call me Paul."

Louis sat down on his bed. He took off his party hat. "Yes of course I am your new roomate."

He took the paperclip chained sign that read BON VOYAGE off. He used the paper to wipe the lipstick from his cheek. "I would have been here sooner, I was just stuck in a transporter for the past few days. I am in security, from all accounts I will be working Alpha shift. I am not a loud man, Whatever I have in the way of food or alcohol I share so if it is out in the open it is meant for you to partake in as well. Speaking of which I have a bottle of Chateau Picard 2360 I have been saving, if you would like to imbibe with me when you get off duty, I would happily share. As for this situation, DO you have any rules you want to go over?"

Paul smiled. "No, actually, to be honest I've never shared such close living space with someone else my whole life. I guess I haven't developed enough experience to have any rules." Paul fiddled with his ring nervously for a moment. "As to the wine - that is an incredibly kind gesture, and I would love to share a drink with you but I think I might keep that drink on the boring side." Paul smiled. "Now that I think about it, how the hell did you get that aboard? I'm impressed."

Louis just smiled, "Every crew member is allowed to have a small amount for personal consumption. 1.75 liters I believe is the exact regulation. I claimed it for cultural reasons. It is wine, it is not like it is burboun, vodka or Saurian brandy."

He smiled and thought for a moment, "You never had a roomate durring academy?"

"Um, In the strictest sense I never went to the academy. There's a tiny Officer Candidate School on Vulcan. I went through what essentially amounted to, like, a year-long bootcamp and they sent me here."

"Well actually, they sent me to Starbase 47 and then they sent me here," Paul corrected himself. "So, I mean, I had suitemates when I went to school originally on Mars, but I mean, the Daystrom dorms are pretty big - it's not like real estate is tough to come by over there. And yeah, otherwise no roommate to speak of, really. I hope that that doesn't mean I will be hopelessly impossible to live with."

"So, I've blathered on about my life story enough, what's your deal? How'd you end up aboard our illustrious ship?"
