After stowing away and unpacking her belonging in the hotel room she now shared with Siren, Lirha had quickly changed clothes into something more appropriate for the day. Well, appropriate by her own Orion standards. She now wore a very alluring and low cut backless dress which showed more green than usual, and her pieced ears were adorned with multiple pieces of gold jewelry which complimented her favorite gold necklace which lay loosely around her collar and drifted down to the top of her cleavage. She checked herself in the mirror one last time, and when Siren was ready, the two of them grabbed their bags and headed up to the hotel's bar to meet the rest of their group.

Looking into the reflective surface of his rooms unusually large mirror Luke twisted and turned, shuffling uncomfortably and puffing out his chest before sighing and giving himself an approving shrug. He was wearing a casual dark blue denim shirt buttoned fully to the top, its sleeves rolled just on his elbows. For his pants he wore blue denim jeans with fashioned scuff marks on the knee's. Finally on his feet were freshly replicated black smart shoes. Moving over to the counter he picked up his watch and strapped it firmly to his wrist before heading out.

Nesh herself had only turned about four or five times in the mirror, examining her slinky, black dress. "Butt's not too big. Good." The young Orion checked her hair once more, readjusting the lock of bangs that threatened to fall out of the perfect ensemble of make up and golden jewelry. Bag over her shoulder, she turned to leave and join the others.

Quick to smooth out the wrinkles in his brightly colored dress shirt and black slacks, Asahi examined himself for any imperfections. Rarely was he seen without his uniform, and it was even more rare that he was in nice clothing. It wouldn't make sense to be a slob about it. Luckily for him, he had absolutely no handbag to worry about, as he wandered off to the hotel bar.

Delainey also felt out of place without her uniform, but she found herself in a rare moment of appreciation for her appearance as she looked at herself in the mirror. Never one to think herself pretty, she had to begrudgingly acknowledge that she cleaned up well in the royal purple dress with the scoop neck that showed a hint of bared shoulders. The skirt of the dress came midcalf and swayed as she moved. Her blonde hair, normally pulled completely up, was down, with part of it pulled back in a silver barrette with ornate etching. She wore simple brown sandles but matching silver earrings. A few sprays of moonlit path perfume a swipe of lipstick later, she was ready to depart.

Lirha arrived at the upstairs bar with Siren in tow and stepped through the clear glass doors when they parted. Moving further inside, she arched an eyebrow and smiled at the luxurious accommodations as well as the spectacular view the establishment afforded them. Situated on the very top of the twenty-story hotel, the rooftop bar gave all of its patrons an unobstructed view of the entire city. The main dining area was located indoors, but half of the lounge tables were outside where the majority of the bar patrons were seated. As usual, Orions of all different complexions populated the bar, and an attractive lithe Orion woman approached them and offered them a table.

Siren looked around with curiosity, but her gaze was dragged to the view. She took a deep breath, moving over to the railing to look out over the city, her hands gripping tightly. Her black jeans and black vest rippled for a moment in the breeze, as did her long, loose red hair as she took in the view. City scapes amazed her. Where she came from, the city was broken and smouldering. Just rubble and ruins. This was spectacular.

Luke stepped into the room and scanned the area everyone was dressed smartly so he was at least glad he had chose his most masculine clothing. With the recent disappointment in the name of Blake he materlizled a smile before making his way to Lirha and Hex who he had already located. How could he not? They were both beautiful! "Howdy!" He greeted them both with a wave and his artificially created smile.

"Mr. Kita, she's looking at you because you're the brightest non-Orion in the hallway."

"But this is the quietest-colored dress shirt I own!"

Nesh seemed to be leading and comforting the short engineer, the latter glancing behind him every so often at a rather interested Orion female, who had taken an interest in his rear end. "Mr. Kita, I'm going to take you shopping if that's the 'quietest-colored' thing you own. It's atrocious."

Asahi whirled onto Nesh in mild-offense. "It was my father's!"

"... I rest my case... ugh... old people." The young Orion brightened up at the others. "Oh, hello!"

Delainey arrived in mid-conversation and joked, "Are we lawyers now? That's not how I planned to spend my vacation either." She took in the view and added, "I wonder if this is what it's like to be rich and famous in the classy holovids."

Lirha waved as Wyatt, Kita, Carlisle, and her sister appeared in the bar, all dressed in their casual attire. It was strange to see her ship-mates out of uniform, but it was also a refreshing sight which reaffirmed their vacation status. The host proceeded to seat the group at an outside patio table, after which a waitress came over and took their drink orders. She returned a few minutes later with their beverages, then gave each of them food menus before heading off back inside to tend to other customers.

Now sipping on her glass of Orion brandy, she glanced down at the busy city below and happily sighed. "Here is to a fun holiday," she said as she looked back at the group and raised her glass for a toast.

Siren nodded with a smile, lifting her own glass. "I drink to that. And some down time, after a hard mission and some damn good work."

"To down time," Carlisle echoed, raising her own glass. It was strange to think she was going to wake up tomorrow and have absolutely no one she was obligated to listen to. She wasn't inclined to try it, but she considered with a chuckle that it also meant she could get tipsy or even lit tonight, and no one would see her as a hungover shrink, with all the disapproval and anxiety that entailed. The freedom to simply be Delainey was intoxicating indeed.

Asahi silently raised his own beverage, though it remained to be seen how much actual alcohol was in said beverage. It probably had more color than booze, but he had gone on someone's recommendation instead of his own preferences. It was only till after he took a sip of the drink that he spoke up in any manner. "And to any good fortune that may come our way... you know, just in case."

"Good fortune indeed," Lirha remarked in between long sips of her glass. "Have any of you thought of some fun things you would like to do while we are all here in the city?" she asked to no one in particular. Although she had some of her own activities planned, she was curious to know what the others wanted to do with their free time.

Luke shrugged "I was planning on visiting the beaches perhaps catch some sun, then there's the bars and clubs I also wanted to buy some things for Abbey she'd like a present." He sipped, rather gulped his drink as he spoke.

Delainey contemplated whether she would speak up since technically, her idea of fun was not exactly considered recreational to most. "I was thinking of inquiring about volunteering at a medical clinic," she offered shyly. "Nothing too complicated or anything that would impose my credentials anywhere, but I do like to see how other cultures treat their ill and injured." She shrugged. "Even if it's just greeting people or helping them find their way around, I find it's one way to get to know more about a culture. I was also thinking of doing a little shopping."

"Shopping sounds good." Asahi eyed Delainey, grinning jokingly. "The rest of what you wanna do sounds like work. I thought we were vacationing." Chuckling, he leaned back in his chair. "But hey, shopping sounds great. So do beaches... I dunno, I was gonna play it by ear a bit. See what would happen, yanno?"

"I'd have to agree with Asashi on this one." Luke took a sip of his drink before continuing "It does sound a bit like work, then again who am i to say what you do on leave? It is quite commendable. I might join you!" he smiled at Delainey. "Playing it by ears seems to be the most common theme here so I haven't really made any plans."

Carlisle nodded and offered a bigger grin, looking at Asahi and Luke. "Yeah, I know it sounds a bit lame, but I truly like to learn that way." Delainey shrugged. "I'm keeping an open mind."

Lirha once again glanced at the busy city below before looking back at her colleagues. "There are plenty of places to shop, if you all are interested. I am sure all of the venders will be happy to sell you trinkets and take your latinum," she winked. "Myself, I will be visiting several theater performances and also going clubbing at night... as well as a possible visit to the tribble farm on the outskirts of the city."

"Are they those furry little things Klingons are scared of?" Siren asked with a soft laugh just at the idea of Klingons being scared of a fluff ball. It brought images to her mind of Klingons screaming like girls and running from little bouncing balls of fur that just wanted a cuddle.

Luke laughed "They're the thorn in the side of the klingon empire they're not scared by them but they're sworn enemy's I cant blame them I've had my own experience's with tribbles" he gave a wry grin "You don't plan on bringing one back to the ship commodore?"

"Well...yes, of course. I am quite fond of tribbles. They were my first pet when I was a child and kept me company in my room through many long nights," Lirha smiled back at Luke with bright green eyes. "As long as they are not overfed and are put on a strict diet, there is no danger of them breeding."

Delainey bit her lip, but her eyes sparkled with good natured humor. "Galileo hasn't exactly been predictable. Hopefully, we won't have to deal with a tribble invasion."

"I dunno, that could be fun." Asahi played at the idea. "I feel like tribbles are like glitter. You could clean out most of them, but you'll still see one or two of them in like a year... feeding off of table scraps and stray wirings."

Delainey looked at both with a wry smile. "I rest my case."

"I do not think the admiralty or our yard engineers would be very happy if they found stray tribbles in the jeffries tubes during our next inspection," Lirha remarked. She would definitely take some heat for such a violation, not to mention it would be rather embarrassing when it came time to explain how they got there.

"Not even cute little pink ones?" Siren said with an innocent smile, fluttering her eyelashes.

"Especially cute little pink ones" Luke chimed in again with a smile.

Pink tribbles. Well, that would certainly raise a few eyebrows aboard the ship. It was going to be a fun shore leave, Lirha reckoned, and she smiled privately to herself at the prospect of being able to spend the next few weeks here on her homeworld with her friends. She raised her drink and toasted one more time. "To pink tribbles."
