Olsam mashed the door chime on the office twice, shuffling impatiently in place. His conversation with the captain had been agitating, and the walk over to his yeoman's office had only given him time to become all the more agitated about it. What was it with command officers, anyway? If it were up to them, the whole medical and counseling staffs would likely be wiped off starships entirely.

Hmph.

"Enter!" the yeoman called out, his eyes on the PADDs in front of him. His work. He raised his eyes when Olsam walked in, his blue eyes focused on him. "Can I help you?" Victarion asked the man, giving him a small smile. He knew exactly who he was. The Bolian doctor. He clocked his shape and the shade of blue in his skin easily as well. "Doctor, I trust you find the Galileo as fine a ship as the Odyssey?"

Olsam looked from side-to-side, wondering if he'd gone to the CIO's office on accident. A quick check of Victarion's pip told him he was in the right place. The Bolian narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"How do you know who I am?" he asked slowly, taking a step back toward the door as if his hefty frame could actually outrun someone.

Victarion met his eyes and sat back, shaking his head. "I have a good memory for faces and names. And records. Now, please come in and tell me how I can help." He prided himself in knowing what was happening and who with, so he could do this...creep them out a bit.

Olsam eyed the chair before sitting in it. He remained on the edge. "I came to schedule Captain Holliday for a medical checkup. I think he was tired of talking to me, so I thought it would be better to schedule it through you."

"Sometimes a wise approach," he admitted and nodded, moving to get up the Captain's schedule. "When would it suit you best? I can juggle some of his appointments around. It is important to have medical checkups."

If Olsam wasn't suspicious of the yeoman before, now he definitely was. No one in a red uniform ever said medical checkups were important. In fact, they usually insisted on putting them off until the last minute. Or putting them off altogether, triggering an avalanche of medical non-compliance paperwork.

"As soon as possible...," Olsam said slowly, narrowing one eye, widening the other, lifting a single eyebrow and tilting his head back; the effect made him look like a stroke patient. Whatever game this yeoman was playing, Olsam was on to him.

He nodded as he looked at the schedule, considering it for a moment. "I can do it at the end of your shift tomorrow. Before he starts his. I will send him to you."

"Yeah, okay, do that," Olsam replied, standing up and easing backwards. He never let his eyes leave the yeoman, which caused him to nearly trip more than once on the way back toward the door. Changeling? Borg implants? Telepathic mind control? What nefarious influence had this red-shirted command crewman fallen under to make him so willing to cooperate with the medical department where his boss had shown so much reluctance? "Uh, thank you...yeoman.... For all your help."

"We're not quite done yet," Victarion said and motioned him closer, meeting his eyes as he folded his eyes. "I am going to give you a little bit of advice that will help you in your future. Always, always go to the yeoman first. The same as an assistant, or in civilian circles, the receptionist. Because we have the schedules and we can pretend something has always been there..." he winked before checking the time. "I do find myself in need of a medical check up as well, Doctor. Perhaps you would be available? I fear I will not be as much of a challenge as the Captain."

Olsam nodded slowly. Good, goood. A medical checkup. A very thorough neurological scan. Yes. Good. "Uh, yeah, okay, good advice. I'll try to follow it. My schedule is wide open, whenever you'd like to be scanned. Uh, examined. Seen, I mean."

Victarion chuckled and looked at the schedule, taking a breath. "The beginning of your next shift, I think," he said gently, considering it for a moment with a slight frown. "I am quite boring though. Even for an Argelian."

Olsam's laugh was too loud and overly emphasized. "Oh yes, I'm sure! Very boring. The most boring. Probably the boringest patient I've ever had, Argelian or not." He took a step back, already planning the very comprehensive scans that would expose the captain's yeoman as...whatever...he was. "So, okay... Beginning of my shift, I'll see you then...."

"See you..." Victarion said and looked back at his work, taking a breath as he reached out to pick up a PADD.

"See you," Olsam said, taking slow steps until he'd backed through the doorway and into the corridor. His eyes were wide and wild, as if to emphasize he would really see the petty officer. Something odd about that one, definitely. Definitely, definitely odd.
