Nesh watched the little girl with a small smile, but inside she was a bit worried. Lily wasn't well and while Nesh knew it wasn't dangerous...but she knew it sucked being ill and little. She reached out, touching the girl's hair. "You know, we should get some chocolate into you," she mused, almost as if she was contemplating what medicine to give her. "Ice cream for sore throats perhaps?"

"Ice cream," Lily shifted closer to the woman, feeling too poorly to launch her usual barrage of questions as to why she was green, and did it mean she was an elf. "Ice cream fixes everything," the young girl said, quite seriously.

"Always did," Nesh said and smiled warmly. She wanted to keep upbeat. And hey, ice cream sounded good. "I'll get it. And maybe some more water? Your Mummy told me you should drink loads of water..."

Lily screwed her nose up, trying to curl up to be more comfy, her head hurting and hot. "Lemonade?"

"Sure...I mean, they're both transparent, right? Unless you want that yellowy cloudy stuff?" she watched her before getting one of the stuffed toys. "Here...hold on. I'll get you stuff."

Lily gave a soft smile, but a smile all the same, as she cuddled the toy close, stroking the soft fur. "Please," she remembered to add, even giving a slight nod at having said the right thing.

Nesh smiled warmly, the word giving her some indication she was doing okay. It was a bit nerve wracking taking care of someone. But she knew Lirha would be proud (and if she wasn't, Nesh would steal some of her clothes as punishment. Just because she could). She went to the replicator and got some ice cream and some clear lemonade. She got herself ice cream too and carefully balanced the two bowls on one arm, walking carefully back. "Strawberry and vanilla..." she said and placed it down. "Clotted cream. I thought 'hey, might as well go pink'..." she met Lily's eyes and moved to sit close to her, so that the girl could snuggle if she wanted to.

Lily instantly moved up close to her, resting against her to snuggle even as she tried some ice cream. She sighed softly, obviously enjoying it, and how cool it was on her throat. "You are nice," she declared with a small smile.

"So are you!" Nesh looked at her, watching her for a moment. "I'm not very good with this whole...bringing people stuff thing."

"You had two," Lily whispered with awe, motioning to the bowls. "Balanced. Like a clown!"

"Just with prettier feet!" she smiled, making a point of lifting her leg, showing off her green foot with the pink painted toenails.

"You like pink too," Lily said softly with a shy smile. If she'd have been feeling herself, she'd have made a loud 'ooo!' sound with it. She liked sparkly, shiny things. "Pretty with green. Like a flower."

She smiled at that, her eyes shining. "I like flowers too," she said and took some ice cream, moaning softly. "This is so nice..." she watched Lily, her eyes gentle. "You're not feeling very well, are you, Lily?"

Lily shook her head slowly and gently, looking down with a slight frown. "Doctor said my body has to make me better," she said softly, her skin more flushed than usual.

"Doctor is right," Nesh said and smiled at that. "So, to make it better, I'll tell you some stories and you can rest until your mother comes back. Yeah?"

"You tell me 'Rion stories?" she asked softly, curling up closer, clingy and snuggly in not feeling well - and clearly not having quite got the hang of the word 'Orion'.

Nesh smiled at the words, nodding as she touched her hair. She knew a few nice stories too. Sure, loads of dark ones, but she wasn't going to tell her. She wrapped her arms firmly around the girl, holding her. "Sure thing, little star...I'll tell you loads of good stories!"

"Do 'Rions have dragons?" Lily asked, watching her with wide, sincere eyes, as if she were asking if Orions had cats or birds.

"No..." she said and leant close, to whisper in her ear. "But we ride the stars on steel stallions..."

"Wow!" Lily breathed with wide eyes, setting the bowl aside. As much as she loved ice cream, she'd eaten as much as she could whilst not feeling well. She laid back on the bed, cuddling up with her toy dragon, but keeping a grip on Nesh's hand. "Tell me? Please?"

"Of course!" Nesh smiled and took a breath, thinking quickly. "Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away..." she started, and continued even past the point when the little girl had fallen asleep.
