Not-the-Worst Case Scenario

Just when you think you have it all planned... every outcome accounted for, every stray variable tapped into place. Everything can still fall apart on you at a moment's notice.

And that's exactly what happened to us at Celes III.

Two of the colony modules are damaged, the fusion reactor almost suffered a catastrophic containment breach, and the colony site was almost polluted beyond repair for generations to come. A lot of people could've been killed. The Galileo itself could've suffered damage.

How did this happen? Equipment failure? Operator error? Hostile conditions? Probably a measure of all three.

It looks like we're moving forward now though. Thankfully. One of my engineers was injured though. Radiation exposure. No one can tell me what the prognosis would be. It's still too early to tell.

There's little I can could now but continue to do my part in helping to put the colony project back on track. Many more days of uncertainty no doubt lay ahead.
