Scientist's Personal Log

David looked at the screen as he composed his entry. How could he explain last night?

"Last night was one of those nights you dreamt about in the academy but you never actually expect to happen. I've had my fair share of loves over the years, one night stands, short romances, even the odd one you think might go long term. None of them ever did which leads to this ship and last night."

So I have a new roomie. Nothing odd about that. We get shuffled so much it isn't funny anymore. That my roomie has a libido that doesn't quit, and a body that doesn't either, I'm not complaining.

We broke one of the rules of roommates aboard ship, don't ever sleep with your roomie. Tends to end up badly. But man, was that worth it. I won't go into details but I haven't had that much fun in a while. Even our former shuttle pilot Ash, who had a rep for being quite the girl when aroused, was sedate compared to this lioness."

Robert paused. "For the record, I don't compare my romances to each other. Everyone brings something different to the table and Ash & Rebecca each have their own qualities I liked. And don't think I'm that kind of guy who's chasing tail just because he's just interested in some then dumping the chick. Romance was meant to be enjoyed and if she want's more then one night, I'll give her that. I'm just not into the steady girl, settle down and make a batch of kids, not like my Brother Jamie who married that Caitian chick M'Elise. They've got something like six kids together and just announced they're expecting again."

"Anyways, back to Rebecca. Lioness. Not the kind of girl I want long term but I think we could learn things from each other. And having a steady source when we're on a mission in this boat, worth the risk."

David grinned. "End Log."
