Dearest Jacob,

My cousin, it is with tidings of opportunity that I greet you. I know that your time aboard the incredible Galileo has brought you much learning and much to talk about I am sure. You are an incredible man, scientist and human being.. and because of these things I write you this letter.

My dearest cousin, since your early days, since you were 10 years of age in fact, you have been so incredible in the political work you have done. Do you remember? You made holocalls for my father during his first race for Earth's Assembly. You worked for his campaigns as we were growing up. You have been our staunchest supporter! You have helped me countless times in my various political campaigns; especially when I won my Senate seat last year. The calls you made, the letters you wrote and the holospeeches you prepared when I know you were busy on projects for the Galileo meant the world to me!

And so I wanted you to know that I want to return that favor; for you see, I know your desire to have a political career one day. You have always spoke of it. You have always wanted to take that leap into the Grand Game Politico, and because of that, I am offering you that very chance by letting you know that Assembly Person Jasper Allen Turner, another of your very distant relatives is retiring. I know of no one better than you to make your own start with this opportunity. He always has spoken so fondly of you and has often wished he could do something for you in the political realm... my guess is he will soon be sending you a letter similar to mine regarding this possibility.

My dearest cousin, myself, the family, the Pendleton's, Turner's, Blum's, Fernandez's, Villegas's, Ramirez's, Mondragon's and probably most of the Brethren of your Lodge would be behind your candidacy. Senator Roosevelt said to me yesterday that he would personally stump for you... as would I and probably a few more leaders of the 968th District would throw their weight behind you.

You would make a great candidate my dearest cousin. This is the opportunity of lifetime, will you take it? Let me know soon.

It has come to my attention that the honorable Assemblyman Turner is exiting the game of politics and seems to want you to be the man to take the 968th to even greater prosperity than he has already done! I am waiting to hear your decision! If you decide yes to this, I will be at your side, day after day helping you make the best campaign there ever was for that region. You will have all the resources I know of and I will stump alongside with you win or lose. I know you could make a difference as you always have for others. Will you take this chance? I hope so. We have much to do and I could use your help and leadership from the Assembly side. Please strongly consider this.

You have made many a friends through southwest Wisconsin, Northeast Iowa and Northwest Illinois in your various work whether here or afar.

Do this and you will have my notes, my contacts, my aid and my staff to help. I hope you will do this. I hope you will continue the line of family and relatives who yearn to make this a better world in the arena of politics.
