Captain Jonathan Holliday reporting.

Our mission to Lyshan III seems to be taking a turn for the unusual - it seems that our mining operations have been interrupting the lives of a species that have transcended the need for a physical body. These so-called hauntings were simply the attempts of an otherwise peaceful species to protect their homes against aggressors.

Thankfully we seem to have at the same time found a solution to our tribble problem - the little fluffballs seem to be perfectly capable of hosting said noncorporeal beings and are actively being transferred from the ship to the surface as we speak.

In a more personal matter I once again found myself at odds with the Commodore...it seems that her recollection of pulling a phaser on a member of Medical is a little less one-sided than perhaps others. I am in a quandry as without involving the Admiralty there is very little I can do other than try to give a slap on the wrist to a superior officer.

My XO will be speaking with Dr Warraquim and her team to clarify a few issues at their end, and I can only hope that her discussions are more fruitful than my own. A Commodore pursuing a relationship aboard my ship? It doesn't sit well with me...and is something I will need to keep an eye on....

With the conclusion of this mission I look forward to returning to home territory and to receive my new orders - I certainly feel the crew has earned some R&R, and who knows? I might even take a little for myself.
