Well, here I am again. *Sigh*. Only here is someone else's quarters. Luke's quarters to be exact, and all because of my hot temper and big mouth has landed me where I promised myself I wouldn't return. Back into the bad books of the ship's XO. It's not like it's the first time I've been back in them though. With previous XOs too. And I imagine it won't be my last.

Blake's got me seeing the counsellor too. For almost the same reasons as last time. Maybe it's a sign that the Fleet doesn't quite fit me anymore. My spunky attitude seemed to sit well on Janel's shoulders, and yet with a little red-headed woman people seem to take issue with it.

I guess I find it a little harder than I expected; returning to a kingdom I once ruled only to find my rank a little short of gold pips and my kingdom much reduced. Janel fought for his position. Jostled for what he was awarded in the end and commanded a Galaxy class back when they were the top of the line tech. And I suppose I'm trying to get there myself one day. But sometimes I slip into captain mode and it never ends well.

So, I guess I just had to bide my time... See how this pans out and review my options at my next performance review.
