The Trouble with Cardassians

"I cannot begin to state how the tensions between us and the Cardassians is getting in the way of our scientific mission..." Jacob took a drink of soda as he walked around the room giving his information to his log recording, "...I have no quarrel with the Cardassian here. I have no quarrel with them at all! I am well aware of what happened in the war and all but this is no time and place to open old wounds or put forth our hatred for each others! Why can't some of the crew understand this?" He took another drink and continued, "Have we lost our senses? Allowed ourselves to be over emotional about things? Yes.. I know the atrocities which took place... there was much injustice done during that time... but those arguments are for another time and another venue!
I just know that all this hatred and all this drama is going to cause nothing but problems and delays in our work and that is not acceptable. Not acceptable in the least." Jacob emptied the bottle of soda with a long swig and concluded, "I think I may have to talk to the Chief about his actions and set him straight about this whole thing... computer end log."
