Abbey burst through the door with a smile planted firmly on her face. Throwing her bag on the bed she raised her left foot so it rested on her knee and with her momentum pirouetted causing the medical gown she was wearing to flow freely. Quickly moving to her seat and spinning the chair before she flipped up the consoles screen.

"Good evening computer!" She said placing her elbows on the desk and placing her chin in her cupped hands. "I've always wondered why that for centuries if you spoke to yourself you'd be considered completely balmy, so when did we decided that talking to yourself and recording it became normal?"

Through the mirrored image Abbey could see a loose strand of hair dangling in front of her right eye. Not making any attempt to loop it behind her ear she continued "We've set under way for Lyshan three where they have reported to be experiencing what I, in my not so scientific opinion, believe is ghosts. Now I for one am looking forward to seeing what is exactly happening down there. Though I do sense from the rest of the science department that they seem a bit apprehensive"

Pushing up off the desk Abbey leant back and powered her legs up onto the tabletop her feet just hanging of the edge where she managed to flick of her shoes, Something she wondered if Pendleton would find annoying. "Onto more personnel matters then... I've met quiet the few interesting characters during my short time aboard the ship. Firstly there's my new science partners Kohl and Elijah. Both are the cutest things from here to the delta quadrant. Elijah more so than Kohl but I think that's because he's so shy! I have however noticed that he's been coming out of his shell, I hope its my charming personality rubbing off on him! I may even be able to teach him dancing with a little of encouragement! Kohl is still something to be desired he has a unique ability to make me laugh which is something that I have not been able to do until recently.

The image of her mother shot through her thoughts, the time they spent on Earth before moving to Deep Space five and then her death. Abbey could never fully understand the need for terrorism. Shaking a tear from her eye she inhaled before faking a smile, something she was also particularly good at. "And then there's my room mate Pendleton." The smile on her face grew.
