346 words; about a 2 minute read

Allyndra knew it was early to worry about such things but a lot of things had been on her mind lately. There was her feelings toward Lamar, the changes on board, the dealing with the Guild and the Guild Council. The later was weighing as much as her own personal feelings.

"Computer please start new log entry."

[New Log Entry - Recording]

"Well sooner or later I will be heading home and while I think we as a people should move forward, I can see from our encounter with the Le'kt that something like a Fold Ship should not be told to anyone and especially should not be found out by others. While I think eventually it might be talked about and Akkadia should move toward full Federation membership the whole thing could prove to cause more problems then it might be worth at this time.

However, there are other things that we or rather the A'ksu discovered that could or should be moved forward. As I have mentioned to others in medical school when I wrote the chapter on Akkadian physiology one of the professors quipped that we were the 'Dorian Grey' people.

I never understood the reference until I read the story for myself. It is true that we do not show age, nor do we retain scars and can recover after a point even from terrible injuries. I found out it was a 'gift' from the time of the A'ksu. Perhaps one of those rare ones which really did bring us forward.

Well how it all came about and how it got incorporated is recorded away. I know a little about it but I am determined to ask for access to those records.
Perhaps, a gift from my people to help cement ties with others and to break the status quo of hiding everything.

I can only hope, so hence, I will hope the Twins smile on this endeavor.

Computer, end entry.
